A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus. On ep 2 of Ghost and feeling strangely restless....tempted to skippitydoodah a bit. Is it because there’s no romantic storyline as yet or the techy side is outdated now? So far I’m liking the chubby detective best as a character.

Betty - don’t skip ep 2. There is an important (if implausible) plot twist that will render the rest incomprehensible if you skip now. Definite foreshadowing of romantic possibilities in ep 3. Be patient - it needs it.

I watchedsomething on YouTube this morning about 15 couples that got together after starring in kdramas. I did bot recognise the shows or the people, but the last couple were from the Weightlifting Fairy show. Sorry for failing to capture the link before I closed it. There were some very cute babies too.

Yep! Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee sung kyung from WFKBJ were a couple for a while... Not anymore!... I've watched a couple of their photo shoots and they're sooo 😍😍
Its weird but watching western dramas /romances it never crosses my mind that they could be a couple!... But watching kdramas!... They're all dating or in lurve... As far as I concerned!! 😁

Hooray! First time in a crime series ever I’ve seen the lone detective go round switching the lights on in a dark apartment where a murderer is highly likely to be present. A sensible female detective obvs.

No, it's one of those sites that has dodgy pop up ads, I'd only use if you have good firewall/security.

I’ll avoid. Thanks Betty. It shows up in the Viki app but as unavailable in this region, so I reckon it’ll either appear soon or show up on Netflix.

Ghost is daft as a brush, but I’m warming to it. It was dragging a bit earlier, which prompted me to dismantle the Xmas tree - something which would not have happened during Goblin or W - but its getting into its swing now.

Incidentally, I put a So Ji Sub playlist on YouTube whilst taking the decs down but wasn’t really watching. Ji Sub was wearing a painfully loud/outre outfit when I glanced up at one point, but he had a young lovely next to him holding a sign that said “mask” so I don’t know if he was satirising the fashion industry and male modelling or it was for real. I feel the need to check it over again, because if he’s going dress like that on our date nights, its over before we got started.

I was just looking up the female screenwriter of Goblin, Kim Eun Sook, on Wikipedia. She wrote Mr Sunshine too, which makes me think a writer ‘spiral’ could be a productive next step. Descendents of the Sun & The Heirs are definitely available in the UK.

Oh yes, she wrote another thread fave - Secret Garden.

Somehow have not felt drawn to either Descendants of the Sun or Heirs (think it’s Inheritors on Netflix) but will give them a go if they’re any good. Agree it’s a good spiral to try. The writer of W also did Memories of the Alhambra

Ooh new drama coming coming with Jo Jung Suk although it is a sageuk so not sure if we'll get any twinkly romance from him, mind you he is married now chiz chiz

I went to bed at 11 last night!! Woo hoo!... I spent the evening in Wakanda!... Family movie night... Watched only ONE ep of I can hear your voice... And then bed!... I think I need to try and be more sensible!! 😁
Been watching BTS YouTube videos! 😭... They are very very funny... And quite sweet but I see they've posted so many things over the holidays and I'm thinking... Haven't you got time off? Have you seen your families? Are you constantly on camera?? I hope they're being well looked after! 😕😂😂

I went to bed before midnight, but perimenopausal hormonal insomnia meant I was still thrashing around at 2am until I admitted defeat and took a sleeping pill. I should have just stayed up watching kdrama & had done with it.
