I've just caught up on last night's episodes, isn't the Sally storyline a rehash of when Deidrie was sent down? When Sally said 'I didn't do it' after being found guilty, I looked up Deidrie on YouTube, and she almost said exactly the same thing!

Yes, I could almost see Deirdre standing in the dock having been done over by an unscrupulous man too. Do they think everyone who saw that must be dead by now?

Yes, I said to my teens about how it was just like Deirdre's trial. What about the evidence, the cctv.? Sally's mate didn't do a great job.

AS for Rana, she's the hc nurse, she is usually a font of allknowledge. Why doesn't she just tell Kate that she's doesn't want a baby and that Kate could be reacting to her brother's death! Angie got to act a bit.

Yes Sally's card was used at the hotel on the day/time in question, surely they would have made more of that? I was considering moving to weatherfield because of the great hospital care and the 24 hour childminder, but I have reconsidered now I realise I would most likely end up in prison.

I think the days of Corrie having any kind of realism are long gone.
CCTV at hotels would prove she wasn't there.
CCTV on the garage or at Roy's or any place near coronation Street would show her whereabouts.

The whole thing is ridiculous tho. There's been no mention of this conmans past. No interview of Steve and Tim about the guys empty office, no investigation of the fake charitable trust he supposedly ran from that fake office. Etc.
Is he supposed to be a con man running a perfect con for his first try? Surely such a perfect con would need an experienced con man.

@kikashi Rita was meant to give her a reference however just before she left for court she 'fell' and hurt her ankle therefore could no longer go.....
