If my memory serves me correctly, David found out that Gail had originally intended to have an abortion when she was pregnant with him, and that she would have gone through with it had it not been for Martin.I think the rot really set in then!

oldowlgirl · 13/01/2019 12:57

I remember that @DaveCoachesgavemetheclap - I think you're right.

RegularShowRules · 13/01/2019 13:23

Was that what turned him evil in the first place then finding that out?
I quite like how David can be good David but then switch back to evil David when he gets pissed off.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 13/01/2019 13:38

Hang on a minute, sorry if this has been covered but if Nick stole Audrey's money then who the hell was the woman on the CCTV at the cash point?? Confused

SymphonyofShadows · 13/01/2019 13:40

I’m guessing he had to draft in someone who wouldn’t be recognised to do the 3456743 trips to the cash point

Ah, I see. In that case I bet whoever she is turns up out of the blue to blackmail him at some point then.

KlutzyDraconequus · 13/01/2019 14:25

I'm guessing it's not Nick. I think they've overplayed the gym bag and the cash to make him look suspicious, but he didn't steal it.

TheEfficientBaxter · 13/01/2019 17:25

Just had a random thought about The Bistro.

Am I right in thinking that it has a cellar?

If so, I can't fathom why it would have! It's an ex-railway arch, isn't it? And AFAIK they didn't have cellars.

Also, The Rovers does have a cellar - so why don't any of the houses, or the shop, have them?

eddiemairswife · 13/01/2019 17:53

There was a discussion about this sometime ago. Someone (can't remember who) was trapped or incarcerated in the cellar, and several people pointed that a railway arch would not have a cellar.

TheEfficientBaxter · 13/01/2019 19:35

Oh, sorry, I must have missed that Blush

Boswellox · 13/01/2019 20:08

David looked like he was immediately putting 2 & 2 together re Nick in the same soap way that others minus 2 and 2 and have no clue lol.

RegularShowRules · 13/01/2019 21:50

Has Corrie been on tonight? I always think I miss an episode at weekend as stuff doesn't flow right

Clawdy · 13/01/2019 22:21

I don't think episodes are ever shown on Saturdays and Sundays.

Longdistance · 13/01/2019 22:49

Perhaps the person who was photographed taking the money from the bank is ‘May’, who scuttled back off to Costa Rica after she shafted Audrey. Plot twist.

TheEfficientBaxter · 14/01/2019 00:31

All six episodes from the preceding week are shown back-to-back as an omnibus very early on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

On ITV2, I think.

Eastie77 · 14/01/2019 13:32

Gail has put all of her many dodgy husbands/partners before her kids so no surprise they don't respect her. I think David turned evil before he found out about the abortion but it pushed him over the edge. The rot may have set in after the serial killer husband (Richard?) tried to murder them all, he was quite normal before then.

HesterLee · 14/01/2019 13:51

I thought Duncan took a step backwards which put him in the path of the oncoming car/van. I don't think he did it deliberately as he knows Tim has no proof re Sally so he has no reason to (and he is too arrogant).

Clionba · 14/01/2019 20:44

How many weeks on is Sinead?

I think doc said 27 Clionba

I can't stand Daniel, its awful but I don't feel anything for him at all, I think he's dreadful.

They need to wrap up the Sally story and the Nick and Elsa stuff.

Clionba · 14/01/2019 20:54

I was thinking the same, Ellanora. I just can't engage with the story. It seems cold of me to say, but I'm not interested, I just want to get back to Sally etc

I fucking hate Billy. He's such an asshole. Since he's had custody of summer he's been a grade a twat. And now slobbering over gemmas brother like a teenager. He is so undignified and I just cannot stand him. Why would he bring a criminal into their lives ffs. Also, I know this is controversial but I don't like Maureen lipman in this. It's like someone has made her watch Blanche's scenes and sadly she's not a patch on Blanche. I thought it ridiculous that she was at the funeral having tea from a China cup. She's a cliche without the panache of Blanche (My favourite ever soap character). They should have kept Roy's mum she was brilliant.

I love Gail and David, although I'm sad they've turned Gail into a joke. They should have developed her into an ivy like character. Cannot stand Jonny Jenny or any of the new ones. And Tim started off so well now he's stupid like Kirk. Steve is the same.

eddiemairswife · 14/01/2019 20:59

I thought that tonight's episode was one of the worst I've ever watched.

Honeyroar · 14/01/2019 21:13

I'm away, what did I miss in tonight's episode? Is it worth watching on catch up?

ILoveMaxiBondi · 14/01/2019 21:28

Absolutely spot on! 100%. Have never liked her. They’re trying to make her Blanche and she isnt. Maureen Lipman Ian so much better than this. If I was her I would Be so angry with what they’ve done with her character. They should let her write her own stuff.

Clawdy · 14/01/2019 22:28

Was Sinead lying in bed with false eyelashes on?
