This Tim and Duncan storyline is just bloody ridiculous. As if Tim just going round telling him he has to confess is going to lead him to throw his hands in the air and admit all 🙄 it's doing my nut in.

I agree with Super, think he’s going to be dead and all will be revealed through his mobile records and maybe his daughter. He was a great actor and could have been a good character. It’s so implausible, surely a con man like him would either target someone with bigger money or multiple victims! Anyway yes it has been drivel recently I haven’t been gripped to any storylines. Lewis’ funeral was dreadful with the coffin too-ing and froing as was the ghost stuff at the snooker hall.

I think he’s alive but because she was on the other end of the phone she will fly back and it will all come out in the hospital. She will try to sneak in and see him.

Does Claudia live with Ken? Why did she have a key to his house when the police brought her back?

May pretending to be dead and not letting her DD in on the secret is ludicrous, absolutely ludicrous! I don't believe that there is a woman in the world who would give up everything including her DD and hide thousands of miles from home for a hundred grand or so insurance money.

He makes me crease, especially when he calls his Mum "Gail". That conversation about her being a spy was funny

Yes, I know a 'bit of rough' can be tempting sometimes, but I think he is bad news!

I like Billy (that sexy beard and tight trousers) and I want him to be happy 😊

I really don't like David calling his Mum 'Gail'.

It just seems really disrespectful to me.

Personally I found it far more respectful when he pushed her down the stairs. “Gail” I can cope with. But really though his use of Gail perfectly encapsulates their relationship. He doesn't respect her. He hasn’t since he was a young teen. He tolerates her because it’s convenient for him to have her around.

Is the Duncan storyline based on the canoe man? I think he and his wife went to Panama after defrauding insurance. Their own sons thought they were dead - so it has happened!

What did she do that was so wrong?

She didn’t do anything specific other than not nip it in the bud when he was a vile teenager. He developed a really nasty streak early on and learned how to walk all over her. He isn’t doing it overtly now but he certainly never killed that nasty streak and no-one took him to task on it and told him to treat his mother properly.

Well, be that as it may, it still grates on me!

It’s like Bart always calls his dad Homer in the Simpsons. David is very Bart. Given his dry personality and being forced to live with a succession of Gail’s new beaus as a youngster, including serial killer Richard Hillman, his cheek probably became his armour and calling her Gail is now more teasing than unkind. I like D&G

It's a fair point, Deadringer, that young woman has been led to believe her own mother is dead.

But canoeman’s wife was in on it from the start, she lied to her sons from day 1 so a woman has done it.

Gail, David, Shona, Max, Lily, Sarah, Gary, Bethany, Harry and now Audrey?
I'm guessing 3 beds upstairs, one will be a boxroom, and the bedroom downstairs. Cosy.

What has Gail done wrong? Plenty. Her poor kids have had to put up with a succession of dodgy men including a serial killer who tried to kill them all.

Gail has also always favoured Nick her golden boy over David and made it obvious to David that she is doing that despite Nick being just as bad as David.

No wonder David has no respect for her.
