I've just caught up with the Christmas episodes and have to conclude that the best actors by a mile were Peanut, Rover, Cerberus and Eccles.

I've been abroad for two weeks and got home yesterday. Just started watching all the ones I've missed starting 10th December. Its going to be a long day.

Couldn't work out was happening last night. Will have to re-watch when visitors have departed.

How did Liz get up and disappear so quickly. Why didn't she attempt to get help from the person who ran her over?

Yes that was so stupid. As if you would just get up and go home after being run over like nothing happened.

I hated the silly bit with Mary singing, predictably dreadfully. It would have been a much less pathetic storyline if she'd sung rather well. I don't mean Susan Boyle style ! but just in a normal pleasant voice. It was so clichéd.

I think I must have blacked out and missed a bit- why was Lewis desperate to get his hands on Lily's teddy bear?

I reckon it will be a who dunnit story from Liz POV where Johnny will end up with the blame because he fired her and said he wanted her out of his life.

Maybe Jenny will join Abi and Sally in prison, and Liz will take up residence in Weathy General's private room.

He wanted the teddy because it was recording people talking clowdyweewee, I don't what it said though even though I kept rewinding to try and catch it.

As soon as I saw Jenny sitting in the car I knew there would be an accident. I could never understand why she would agree to Liz working in the pub in the first place.

Agree about Maureen Lipman, she's brilliant in it, I hope she stays she'd be a great replacement for Blanche.

The teddy recorded Lewis having a phone conversation with someone but my DS was waffling on about Santa so I didn’t hear what Lewis said on the recording. I just saw Lewis hearing the teddy play the recording and looking panicked and then trying to get the teddy off Lilly but she wouldn’t give it up. He got hold of it later in the bistro and deleted the recording.

I think that Liz recognised the car and assumed Johnny was driving it. Johnny will then take the blame, with Liz offering to keep quiet if she can retain her job and go back to how things were. I imagine that the writers will want to keep Liz in the pub, so need to find a way of moving on from the affair storyline. She and Jenny will be best mates by February, per soap rules - everyone has short memories.

Lewis deleted it but Sarah’s iPad will have picked it up. It’s the only reason it was there.

It was very dull really. Lewis stealing money again, I don’t think Audrey would have got together with him anyway after his previous form and the psychic thing. Audrey has never been a needy character.

Maureen Lipman is great, lots of potential and I quite like her and Tyrone on screen together. Ty is so much better without Fizz around.

I am guessing Sally will be free soon!

It's probably the eggnog talking, but I really fancy Nigel Havers.

He reminds me of Richard Madeley. Like an older version of him.

Hope we see more of Emma, she was good behind the bar.

I liked how they had Maria texting her about Liz’s accident even though they aren’t directly connected to her. Think during the bleakest storylines the community’s felt a bit disconnected with characters only interacting with their own families, not gossiping etc.

Was it on tonight? (Boxing Day).
Missed it if it was.
Now I'll have to find the time, effort and inclination to catch up if it was.

I like Emma too, she reminds me a bit of Raquel.

Please tell me Jenny is found out and goes away for a very long time.

Tim and Sally are being way too chirpy and got over gina too quick. I foresee disaster (Gina killing Tim or nasty prison woman killing Sally)
