Just seen Brian's 'lesson observation'. If a teacher were seen sitting behind a desk while the kids just gone with their work, it'd be a disaster. Plus, both observers would be marking the lesson against specific criteria on their clipboards. I sincerely hope that the Demon deputy gets his comeuppance.

I’m feeling so sorry for Brian! I know some people are sayings it’s a ridiculous storyline etc but I think they’ve portrayed Brian being belittled and bullied so well, and I’m sure a lot of people are going through similar int he work place! I hope the evil deputy gets his cummupance soon!!

cloudy I was saying just that as I watched. No way a teacher would be behind the desk, he'd be circulating asking "open ended questions" and interacting with the chicldren.

Wiki says Gemma was born 1991, so 27 pushing 28. Not so young then and a lot older than Emma who is Bethany's contemporary.

I've I said to myself I'll follow till Christmas, then switch off for the new year.

I'm tempted to switch off, after many years. It really has deteriorated.

The Brian story probably wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for the fact Brian was a head teacher at one time. They seem to have changed his character to suit the story instead of the changing the story to suit the character.

Imagine Brian going back to school and getting a job as a teacher in the school where he was once head.
He could have been shown stepping in to a class of unruly kids, theres enough unseen children in the cobbles they could use.
Brian's story line would then be him controlling the class, turning the class around and taking them from unruly to studious. Brian's love of teaching could have shine through, his love of his class members would have taken centre stage. Touching moments where a child had struggled to learn to write but has now managed to write a Christmas card to his favourite teacher. Brian sitting with Jack in a detention, a heartfelt story from Brian to a depressed jack that turns jack around. Even Hopes story could play into it, Brian takes her under his wing and with extra curricular work and tutoring she begins to change and becomes a clever and well behaved child. Culminating this week in a Christmas production put on by the 'naughty' kids to a rapturous and tear jerking applause as the 'Bad uns' have come good with Brian standing in the wings..

But no.. instead of touching, heartfelt and pleasant.. we have a bumbling ex head and a big meanie horrible deputy head teacher.

But Brian was never a convincing character as a headteacher.

The only true part was when Brian said to cathy to look around the country and all primary school teachers are stressed and overworked. I do believe that corrie are trying to send out the right messages but going about it the completely wrong way.

I thought Sean was begging outside the hospital entrance on the day of sally's birthday. He would have seen her leaving Duncan in the carpark. And wasn't Billy around there too visiting Jack? Brian should punch Phil in the face. It's very panto at the moment.

The Kate - Adam " booze and sex in the office" scene was surreally ridiculous. There is no way either of them would have done that ever.

It made me cringe Clawdy. Kate has only wanted a baby for a couple of weeks and Adam isn’t that stupid to think she would suddenly want him! He is so attractive that if he wanted a quick one nighter he could easily get it elsewhere.

Rana is spot on about kate. She is so selfish. She was right the other night too about kate organising everyone where she wanted them.

Rana is a far better actor than Kate, I felt so sorry for her tonight.

It's ridiculous that Audrey would even mention money in front of Lewis after he swindled Gail. I know she is with him and forgiven him but you would still be wary
