Agree with all posters saying the show is getting worse season by season.
Unfortunately the producers don't seem to care - as long as they can use malice and half-truth stories to get the viewers, they couldn't give a monkey's.
I used to love it - the elegance, the dresses, the sheer style of it all - now it's like car crash TV.
We'll never know the truth about DJJ - but I would have thought that he would have just refused to comment on anything he was asked about, rather than give reporters something to twist out of context.
James Jordan got a backlash from Mrs DJJ for saying that Danny's mother looked miserable - well, she did!
The backlash was a comment about "Bullying an old woman with Alzheimer's" I mean - really?
How is anyone supposed to know she has Alzheimer's? Who drags a relative with Alzheimer's to a loud, crowded, over-large, brightly-lit, unpredictable (in terms of screeching and booing) venue where they have limited access to either refreshments or toilet facilities, anyway? DJJ isn't shy - if producers wanted a "human interest" angle, he could easily have said - "Ok - by not my mam. It's not fair on her".
The show has just "jumped-the-shark" and lost all of its feel-good factor and integrity (same with GBBO). I only watch because I enjoy the banter on here. And I'd enjoy it even more if we were able to watch and exchange comments without "political" marking, biased judging, idiot routines, personal "journeys" (including the "I'm doing this for my goldfish, Harry< who sadly died in his plastic bag before I got him home from the fair" crap), rubbish costumes, stupid props and "stories" (just DANCE - we don't need 30seconds background about your forbidden love") and useless comments from the judges.
In earlier series' with proper judges (Len and Arlene, and Craig before he turned soft) - feedback was good or bad, gut it was constructive and helped the dancers improve their future performances). Now it's just "Oh my goodness" and "Come here and give me a hug" - just - WHY?
