"also as well"?

UnquietDad · 19/12/2007 22:35

He's prolific, is Mr Cornell. He's gradually built his career up over the last 15 years. (Trivia: he's married to a vicar.)
I think he was the first New Adventures debutant to have anything on TV.

But not the first to have a Proper Novel (tm) out there.
I wonder who that was?.....tum-ti-tum...

SueBaRoomForAMincePie · 20/12/2007 12:19

I'm sorry UQD, did you say you wanted Sally Sparrow on her back?

PersephoneSnowballSnape · 20/12/2007 13:12

agree with sally Sparrow - she would have been lovely as a companion. as would nurse Joan ( doctor: come with me! nurse: no, i can't - it won't be the same! Me :GO WITH HIMMMM!) anyone but catherine tate.

sorry, I've turned up on this thread very late and haven't read it all, but must be kiss all the girls? everyone? first Mdme La pompadour, then rose, then Nurse Joan, then kylie. there are probably more. i've lost track (and obviously feel very left out!)

UnquietDad · 20/12/2007 14:08

Doc's snog count so far: 5, or maybe 6 or 7. Or even 8.

Grace (in the TV Movie)
Rose (in Parting of the Ways)
Cassandra (sort of, through Rose, in New Earth)
Martha (a "genetic transfer" in Smith & Jones)
Reinette (David Tennant in The Girl in the Fireplace)
Joan (in Human Nature/FoB, but that was John Smith)
Astrid (so it would seem, in Voyage of the Damned)

And don't forget Captain Jack kissed him too!

He hasn't snogged Donna.... yet...

UnquietDad · 20/12/2007 14:08

And he can leave Sally Sparrow for me! On her back, on her front.. anywhere...

PersephoneSnowballSnape · 20/12/2007 14:30

he's a loose lipped time traveller! can't imagine good old william hartnell being quite as slutty!

UnquietDad · 20/12/2007 15:39

Although his Doctor did get engaged (accidentally) to an Aztec lady.

serenity · 20/12/2007 16:32

Torchwood Trailer....

Contains Scenes of Excitement!! A Man Who Cannot Die!! Explosions!! Mayhem!! Some Welsh People!!

Plus!! Captain John With SPIKE Voice!! Yay

Ok, got a bit overexcited there

UnquietDad · 20/12/2007 16:35

My turn.

Martha!
Bound!!
In a Tight Vest!!!

serenity · 20/12/2007 16:45

I wonder if you'll be able to buy a 12" Bondage Martha next Christmas

SueBaRoomForAMincePie · 20/12/2007 16:50

Serenity, shhhh, Dh does not need any encouragement!

MerryXMoss · 20/12/2007 16:58

Ooooh James Marsters..... Mmmmmmm!

UQD, "But not the first to have a Proper Novel (tm) out there. I wonder who that was?.....tum-ti-tum..." do tell...

Yes David Tennant's Doctor seems to have had the most snogs by far. @ lucky companions!

I do think Sally Sparrow would've made a great companion actually.

sallysparrow · 20/12/2007 20:51

I think so too

Is that Adam Ant's old jacket James Marsters is wearing?

UnquietDad · 21/12/2007 12:32

Stand and Deliver!!

Mossy - it was, er, me.

MerryXMoss · 21/12/2007 18:45

I thought that was what you were getting at!

You know you now have to tell us all what your proper novel is called so we can all go out and buy it.

Nymphadora · 21/12/2007 20:14

Totally agree on FoB I cry every time

Also love Utopia for the tension building & the climax! LOTTL was crap though

MerryXMoss · 21/12/2007 20:23

Nymphadora I could watch the last ten minutes of Utopia over and over and over.

Oh that's right, I have done. It's on YouTube!!

Ooh the tension... and the sound of drums (I mean the actual sound of drums in the soundtrack, not referring to the episode!)

Although not sure about the futurekind though, they did look a bit like dance school rejects.

bran · 24/12/2007 10:34

Could any of you geeks please tell me if the Christmas special is going to be repeated anywhere? We're not back in the UK until late on 28th Dec and I forgot to set the recorder.

MerryXMoss · 24/12/2007 10:38

I've just had a look through the schedules and I can't find when it is repeated, although wasn't it repeated on NY's day last year?

bran · 24/12/2007 10:41

Thanks MerryXMoss. I'll keep an eye on the listings when we get back and see if I can spot it.

PersephoneSnowballSnape · 24/12/2007 11:26

new years day - 2:15Pm.

yay!

I'll need to watch last years today i think - see if it's as bad as i remember

Desiderata · 24/12/2007 11:50

The girl who played Sally Sparrow reminded me of Jo ... was it Jo? The girl in the 70s with the haircut like the lead singer of Sweet ....

I can't remember whether she partnered Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker.

UnquietDad · 24/12/2007 12:18

Yes, Jo Grant. She was with Jon Pertwee.

PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 25/12/2007 20:08

"Robots of Death meets Oddjob"

DD's verdict on the Christmas special...
