Sorry GSwaistcoat, I hadn’t seen your post. It’ll be interesting to see how they approach things. Will they just stubbornly talk around it? How will the body language pan out? Usually the dancers & partners are so keen to show chemistry and partnership in their interviews/sofa slots, to convince viewers that side of the dance relationship is gelling and encourage votes. I wonder what approach they’ll take in light of recent events?

I reckon (n) and Katya will be on on Friday, in the hopes things have died down by then and they can pretend nothing happened.

The public indignation is completely ott and the ex-girlfriend’s excessively long statement made me cringe.

Agree with placemats on this one. They were both absolute shitbags, but these things rarely happen if everyone is happy in their relationships, and unfortunately people do fall in love with the wrong people, and yes, I have to admit that I do think they are quite a good match. They have been very stupid and insensitive to be so open about it and not be honest with their partners. I do feel for the partners and the media circus that comes with it.

One thing that puzzles me though: I'm not sure why SW partner is saying she is not a victim, then saying SW is really controlling. If that was the case, why stay with him for 5 years of he was that bad? She doesn't seem like the type to put up with that, so seems a bit odd. I take it as what it is - an allegation.

Personally, I think this has ruined strictly for me. Shame the media has latched on to this so much. I want it back to normal!

I wonder if Neil will conspicuously be in the training room with them for their VT. To imply solidarity with his wife and forgiveness of Sean(n).

FWIW, I don’t agree with the public moral handwringing over this BUT I am interested how Strictly (either IT2 or main Strictly) are going to avoid mentioning it when the BBC news have discussed it.

Im not seeing them being a good match tbh. She seems high class and he seems just joe public.
I doubt neil will feature in the VT or even be in the training room with them. That would be admitting an issue. But maybe he will be paired with katya again as part of a pro dance to show unity...

Sorry I don't know if it was on here or another thread... but I saw someone mention that Oti has deleted pretty much any picture of her with Danny Mac on her Instagram from 2 years ago.. anyone know why? Seems a bit bizarre.
I had a look and there's only one pic it seems that's to say she's happy to be partnered with her.. but all the candid pics she posted at the time have all gone.

Maybe she was having a clear out or Graeme's jesting about Danny, Danny, Danny made her think time to empty the insta. Assume she doesn't have her German partners, Agogo or Jonnie on it?

Wonder if it's Charleston for Seann to have an outside choreographer...makes sense as then a 3rd person can help train/less tension/Neil can chill on a rock and not help with choreo.

cha cha (Elliana the pro was on dance moms for 2 years...whilst I was less keen on the 'look' - she's 11 - that aerial in heels was amazing).

The Taytay Tango I posted was from Halloween on dwts - I loved it.
(but DWTS routines are too short - 1 minute these days whereas Strictly's are around 1.40).

I've just watched all of Danny & Oti's dances. They were so fantastic. Their American Smooth is a thing of real beauty.

I did love watching Danny and Oti, it was a real shame that he totally fluffed his dances in the final. I think he couldn't handle pressure very well or something.

It was me that said about the deleted pics, she till has her pics of Johnnie from last year up but all the gushing ones of her and Danny are gone. I don't think anything actually happened between them but I think Oti had a bit of a of a crush on him.

They were just fantastic to watch , I just spent ages watching their dances on youtube, just gorgeous you forget just how great they were.
