Hi everyone, the last thread was nearly full. Is Imran so short of work he can take on a case at 2 mins notice?

There was a thing of GMB this morning about Richard Hillman - 15 years ago I think they said, but I was rushing out to work!

KlutzyDraconequus · 29/10/2018 19:40

Well that was a load of nonsensical bullshit. It'd take at least a few days to get home from Morocco without a passport. The embassy would need proof, at least £95 fee for an emergency passport and they'd likely involve the police who'd want to know why Tracy took passport.

'nipped out to the butchers for a bit of tongue' Grin

clowdyweewee · 29/10/2018 20:05

That made me chuckle too, thenightsky

Clionba · 29/10/2018 20:41

Naughty!! We need more of the double entendres, less of the catastrophes and terminal illnesses.

Daniel does my head in! He has for weeks. Pompous little bugger!

Clionba · 29/10/2018 20:49

Daniel knows that the choice was Sinead's. It wasn't Ken's decision to keep the secret.

That baby really does look like Winston Churchill! Grin

Honeyroar · 29/10/2018 20:51

He's been a pompous arse for weeks, barging into the factory telling Peter he wasn't treating Sinead properly etc. He barges around controlling the environment around Sinead, he's a bit of a scary partner.

Honeyroar · 29/10/2018 20:52

Yes the baby does look like WC!

KlutzyDraconequus · 29/10/2018 20:53

Instill think they're setting Daniel up to be some kind of controlling and emotionally abusive jerk off.

flintfoxy · 29/10/2018 20:57

I'm actually pretty moved by this cancer storyline and I didn't expect to be

Honeyroar · 29/10/2018 21:00

Those episodes were too over dramatic for me, more like watching a dodgy play. And Sinead was too wooden.

IStandWithPosie · 29/10/2018 21:01

It’s a tough storyline, and also a double hitter as it touches on the aspect of the woman’s right to choice/bodily autonomy WRT terminations. I think they’re covering it very well.

eddiemairswife · 29/10/2018 21:27

I'm afraid I can't stand either Daniel or Sinead. What is his job, by the way?

SgtFredColon · 29/10/2018 21:30

He’s gone back to uni isn’t he to do the famous masters? And part time in the bistro.

Speaking of the bistro, does Nick still have a stake in it? I thought Robert took it over but Nick seemed to be helping himself to drinks etc?

ellenanora5 · 29/10/2018 21:38

I actually thought the second episode tonight was quite good, Peter was great, at least he got to say more than a few words, we need more of that and less of the nonsense like Audrey/Claudia/Ken rubbish.

But I still don't like Daniel, I never have and I don't trust him one bit, I said it before that he's becoming a control freak and even tonight the way he was speaking to Sinead was very manipulative I thought, "if you loved me you wouldn't risk leaving me" putting all the guilt on her, nope he's a creep.

IStandWithPosie · 29/10/2018 21:45

Yes I’ve gone right off him too. He’s very arrogant.

Honeyroar · 29/10/2018 21:46

I just wanted her to reply "no I mustn't love you then, so get out!" He's controlled everything so far, he planned all the wedding, the old lady moving in with them (what was she called??), he is always loitering around the factory telling Peter what she needs. It's no wonder she's getting bullied, I'm amazed anyone is still speaking to her. He's just a typical controlling abuser. With a lot of bad stuff going on in his head, as he's already proven.

It bugged me that the drs were talking to him about his wife - they didn't have a real wedding, did they?

Sorry I'm on a real grump about him tonight, aren't I!

eddiemairswife · 29/10/2018 21:51

Who was the old lady who moved in, and what happened to her?

Honeyroar · 29/10/2018 22:00

She went off somewhere, they had a farewell tea dance, didn't they?

Deadringer · 29/10/2018 22:06

Peter was great tonight, agree that he and Adam are ridiculously under used. I don't really understand why the second episode was basically all about Ken.

Optimist1 · 29/10/2018 22:09

Yes, the old lady inherited money from her dead son (Phelan's partner in crime) and instead of arranging for any of the people he'd swindled to be recompensed she took a liking to a swanky care home that Daniel introduced her and moved there. I think.

dontknowwhattodo80 · 29/10/2018 22:15

I missed most of the episode(s) tonight, how did Daniel find out about the cancer?

SumAndSubstance · 29/10/2018 22:16

I think you're all correct about Daniel and his controlling behaviour. It'll be interesting to see whether that's actually where the writers are going with his character (and I think it would fit in with the rejection by his mother and his weird lies about where she was) or whether he's just a very badly-written lovely husband who we're supposed to think is sweet.
