Actually, Ian Waite was always my favourite. And he's tall, so would do me as a partner.

I liked Ian Waite too. I always found Darren a bit too cheesy if I’m honest. They always seemed to put him in a jacket that was too long for him.

Isn’t it interesting how partners dance in a recognisable style? Darren and Lilia, James and Ola, Anton and Erin. You would always be able to spot who belonged with who, like Pairs.

Mozz You're welcome for the Pointless reminder , though I recorded it and watched today, it wasn't really worth it was it? Apart from Giovanni who seems to get more gorgeous with the years! The programme itself is usually like paint drying and it wasn't much different from the norm.

Though Oti , who is a wonderwoman is so bright! I liked her and Katya's victory dances!!!

I have a completely different take on Anton and Susannah (apart from one other poster) because the frills, props and sequins put in an appearance on Anton's clothing when the celebrity can't dance, IMO. You didn't see any of that with Katie Derham. Sorry Susannah, but I think she'll be out first.

Agree that Danny was a bit skippy but is fab in general. I'm predicting Razzle Dazzle for film week Katie was sooooo nervous, you could see her freezing up. I think she could be good if she can conquer the nerves.

Katya is a fab choreographer, but both me and DD winced when he 'chucked' her at the end - way too harsh!

I saw Joe's rehearsal footage and thought he might be good, but he really nailed it on the night! If that's right about the YouTube views then he'll be in the comp for a while yet!

Polkadots I thought the same about Joe in trainers/converse. They suited the theme (yoof lol) but I really missed the pointy toes especially as he was so good!

Is it possible Anton didn't have a choice in Susannah's theming? I get the impression the BBC powers that be inflict these things. Anton (poor at Latin, weak partner/comedy routine history) and Susannah (weakest of this year's line up) got lumbered. I worried Oti and Graeme might be ruined by overtheming but I live in hope they're going to mix it up and do some proper routines interspersed with silliness

The really funny thing in the Pointless was Katya pulling up poor Joe to stand straight (his posture wasn't right to stand in the game of Pointless) !!! She's potty.

BlackAmericano I didn't have much to say about Danny really - probably because he was on first, so a distant memory by the time I posted! Yes his dance was brilliant but we knew it would be. I am looking forward to seeing more from him though, I'm expecting lots of creativity and fun.

I am also a huge Red Dwarf fan (plus love death in paradise) so Danny is one of my favourites. But this year's lot are all surprisingly not bad and show potential so who will win is not clear. I love Faye and Lauren's dance, its nice to see AJ seem a bit more caring and considerate. I also have a soft spot for Stacey (love her voice and shows), Seann and Grahame. And no doubt others will grow on me too! And Dr Ranj is a working NHS doctor so what is not to like!

New pros always start off like this, unsure how to best present celebrities, I remember similar things said about Giovanni and Brendan. Anton still has issues!!! Although Pasha, Katya, Oti and Gorka were lovely from the start and have always put their partners first. Pasha and Gorka have the patience of saints! So give Graziano some slack, he will get there and we will probably all love him by the end.
