I understand the talk about Katie Piper’s difficulties. Has there been any mention of her disabilities and the potential issues they may cause (like spatial awareness or range of movement) on the show? I don’t recall seeing/hearing anything but I haven’t seen every minute of footage broadcast.

This has to be the last series for the Beakster, surely?

Katie has spoken about her visual impairment and her neck problems due her skin in her training VTs also imo the woman is putting herself out there to be looked at no wonder she has anxiety and nervous

I believe the man who threw acid on Katie has been released now-she mentioned it in an interview I read, cannot help.

MrsJayy I would have liked Tony to be Head Judge-I KNOW this is not a popular opinion but....I miss Len.

I would prefer to see Anton in any role that doesn't involve opening his mouth.
Just confine him to speciality ballroom spots.

Yeah I think between that and having a new baby I'm not sure this is the best time for her to be trying to master a new skill in front of millions of people tbh.

I floated a theory to DH last night that Anton is happy with the duffers lately cos it means he gets all the exposure of the first few episodes and the hurrah, but can phone it in for group dances thereafter. And since his homelife has got to be fairly full on these days, it suits his family to go out early.

I am surprised at everyone wanting more of Anton, I don't find him funny, that type of Brucie humour is quite dated now I think.

I hope this is Shirley's last year as head judge. I don't like how obvious it is when she dislikes someone. Clearly she doesn't like Vick and Karen.

I could probably tolerate Anton as a replacement for Tess or Bruno.
I'd quite like Bruno to be replaced by an ex-pro - someone with some Strictly experience and tech/choreo knowledge. Although they'd probably clash badly with Shirley if she got something wrong and Craig would argue the toss too.
I really dislike Darcey's critique but I can't see them getting rid of her.

I'm rewatching on YouTube. Actually really enjoyed Charles's quickstep! He has such long legs (the splits ). I wasn't an Ore fan so not idea if the routine was "borrowed" ha. Karen's pissy face at Shirley

I think Len always had his favourites. Maybe its an age thing. I don't think Shirley obviously dislikes anybody yet, lets see what next week brings!

My thoughts...

Stacey's cha cha was a bit messy and just quite dull.

"Team 12 Pack", ugh. I'm not sure which of them went wrong near the end but it was very obvious.

I wonder if it was deliberate on the producers' part to give the Cliftons the same 2 dances in the first 2 weeks to encourage direct comparison/competition?

Katie - such a shame, I was really willing her to do well but it was stompy and awkward. I don't think she'll be able to get out of her own head and over the nerves even if she does stay in.

Graeme - American Smooth as the first ballroom seems quite harsh? I like him and thought he was good out of hold but his frame in hold was bad (she says like she's an expert...). LOVED Oti's dress.

I thought Kate's tango was excellent, I'm really liking her.

Joe's Charleston was a bit frantic but good fun. I was impressed by the lifts!

Craig and Bruno were both unnecessarily harsh on Susannah. I hope she goes out first for her own sake, she doesn't seem to be enjoying it at all.

Vick was much better. Her very long arms make it tricky for her to look graceful I think? They looked quite angular at times for such a floaty dance. I also wish everyone would stop going on about their looks, there's clearly much more to her than a pretty face. Greasy-ano doesn't do it for me at all.

Dr Ranj wasn't as good as last week but still great fun. They both coped really well with the wardrobe malfunction, it didn't seem to throw him.

I really liked Faye's Viennese waltz, it was different in a good way.

I felt bad for Seann, he was obviously trying so hard and he kept up the energy/entertainment despite completely losing the timing. He's got a great attitude but Katya is being over ambitious with her choreography for him.

Ashley was great but that's no surprise.

Does anyone else find it really patronising when Shirley comments on the women's looks? It always feels to me like she's implying that looking beautiful is more important than actual talent.

If I wasn't far too late to vote, mine would go to Kate, Lauren and Seann.
