Apparently she called Charley the N word in a 'joking manner' whilst they were dancing and was chucked out at 3 in the morning.

Stupid, silly naive girl

Mhamai - meant her rap would be worse than Aiken's. Wasn't having a dig at yours

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 15:21

Sorry but at plummymummy.

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 15:22

It was meant to be

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 15:22

Oh don't worry the agents are not exactly beating a path to my door!

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 15:23

You're too modest my dear

LucyJones · 07/06/2007 15:23

yes a serious discussion might have been a good idea....

not like this thread

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 15:23

Though serious and big brother rarely go together

TnOgu · 07/06/2007 15:23

should M change her name to Spiral, perhaps?

fortyplus · 07/06/2007 15:24

LucyJones - I wouldn't call Jade Goody bright, but she had death threats. Most decent people abhor all forms of racism.

BethBoo · 07/06/2007 15:24

I would like to have seen Charley's reaction to being called the N word in a 'jokey' manner!

Someone asked why its ok for black people to use it and not white...its not. But just for a moment close your eyes and picture the type of person that thinks its ok to say that word and compare that person to Emily.

I would not be impressed by anyone calling me that whether they be black or white but yes even more so by a stupid ditsy bimbo desperate to appear cool at my expense!

Lady Sovereign eat your heart out

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 15:24

Well tbh, I think our collective stab at humour has helped eased the thread from descending into a typical MN ruck but it's early days yet!

LucyJones · 07/06/2007 15:25

ha ha plummymummy you make me laugh

on the one hand you say hyperbolic statements like "nationwide insult to millions of people"
and then you say it's not serious anyway cos it's BB

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 15:26

Oi T watch ittttttttttttt or you might find yourself amongst those weeds as opposed to digging them!

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 15:28

Was playing devils advocate with the last statement. I stand by my sentiments but that doesn't mean that I can't find humour in it. I don't mind making fun at her expense - she's a worthy casualty imo.

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 15:30

LucyJones - maybe you could stand with her on the soapbox in Brixton and explain to the crowd why you think that word is no worse than fuck or cunt.

okeydokeygirl · 07/06/2007 15:34

I have just moved from Bristol, just next to St Pauls which has a huge black population. I also know a lot of intelligent people in Bristol and believe me there are still plenty of racists out there - whether they think they are or not. Besides, I doubt if Emily lived in one of the poorer areas of Bristol - black or white. Even in a multicultural city like Bristol it is still very easy to be cocooned from the real world around you. Besides she can't be that bright - i mean even the stupidest of people must have realised that saying that word on BB would have caused big trouble. On the point of black people calling themselves nigger. It is like gay people calling themselves queer and it is a way of reclaiming the word but not all black or gay people would find this acceptable - even from their friends.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 15:34

lol,i agree plummymummy

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 07/06/2007 15:59

Then, comments such as 'stand on a box in the centre of Brixton' are presumptous and could be racist?
Because of course everyone is Brixton is black and has major race issues, oh and might stab her.
pfffft

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 16:08

brixton has one of the largest black communities in london, that's a fact.why would that be racist??

fortyplus · 07/06/2007 16:09

Aren't we all a bit racist and/or judgemental however hard we try not to be?

You're going to have to read the next bit as a bit tongue in cheek or I'll sound like a weirdo...

...just to play devil's advocate:

I mean - I've got several friends from Asian backgrounds, plus one who is quite traditional (ie wears the gear) Nigerian. And if I'm really honest I'm just a teensy bit pleased with myself when other people get to know about it, because then they will know that I'm an ok person who's not at all racist.

So if you like, I'm labelling my friends as great accessories to the person I like to appear as, iykwim.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 16:11

no,we're not.speak for yourself

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 16:13

But you have just judged 40 for judging you Taylor.

Mhamai · 07/06/2007 16:13

forty even.
