Apparently she called Charley the N word in a 'joking manner' whilst they were dancing and was chucked out at 3 in the morning.

Stupid, silly naive girl

i don't watch it.is she the posh one? i didn't think people really spoke like this anymore, especially not to a black person's face.whoever said about black boys calling each other it,that's completely different,to some stupid little rich white girl saying it.i would have battered her myself.

auntyspan · 07/06/2007 12:55

She's supposed to be a well educated, intelligent girl and I have seen NO evidence of this - she's just plain ignorant.

She clearly is used to saying this word as it 'slipped out' - as far as I'm concerned it's a word that our generation should never utter. It's worrying that she's so used to saying it, in whatever context.

Songbird · 07/06/2007 12:57

Emily: It's not a big deal though is it?
Charley: Not for us it ain't. F**k me.

Yeah right Charley, after saying 'I'm f*g in shock'.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 12:57

i tell you something,if i ever heard a white person use that word about my dd i would not be responsible for my actions.i would go mental.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 12:58

charley probably meant not if one of her black friends said it to her.completely different coming from this brainless tart.

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:00

What a silly girl. I agree that she must say it all the time with her many black friends. For someone who thinks she's so intelligent you'd think she'd have some common sense! Regardless of the viewing public taking offense (which is what channel 4 are more worried about I think), she's known Charley for what, a week? How could she presume that Charley (and Nicky too) would be OK with that? I'm glad BB have thrown her out and I hope they show the whole thing.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 13:03

if she really does say it to her so called 'black friends' (if she has any) then she is a freak.she more likely says it with all her stupid little rich white girl mates

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:03

Actually I think that as usual Charley is pretending what someone says to her is fine - she 'laughs' off lots of comments. I think she's desperate for people to like her, and I'm warming to her I have to admit.

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:04

Quite, taylorsmummy, I particularly liked this:

Charley: I am one. Fancy you saying it. I know maybe you see it in a rap song. Maybe you and your friends sit there saying it.

persephonesnape · 07/06/2007 13:09

sorry compo - from the BB forum reposted from digital spy. channel 4 has a live update thread on the forums that people who have streaming update.

apparently they were all warned before they went in that any racist language would not be tolerated because of the shilpa-hate last time.

she strikes me as a silly little girl who thinks charley is her friend so it is acceptable to call her it. she will have grown up listenning to hip hop/rap and think that it's acceptable to call black people these words becasue black people call each other 'nigga'. although i do think there is a very subtle differnece between n**r and 'nigga'. the second being a reclaimed homeboyish type thing. I wouldn't use either, i'm not fron the ghetto fo'sho'.

bananabump · 07/06/2007 13:10

I don't understand Charley saying "I am one" though. You aren't, you're just black. I'm sure the majority of black people wouldn't consider themselves "n***s" ???

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 13:12

i think she means that it's different for her to say it about herself bananabump

bananabump · 07/06/2007 13:13

I suppose she must mean that.

I hope Emily doesn't make any money out of selling her "story" to the vultures at Heat.

kittypants · 07/06/2007 13:14

not nice.i liked her too.
taylorsmummy, could that not be classed as racist/offensive too(not meaning to cause trouble but...)
'she more likely says it with all her stupid little rich white girl mates '

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 13:16

maybe i don't care tho tbh!!

bananabump · 07/06/2007 13:19

Yeah but I think what taylorsmummy says is probably very true, Emily does strike me as the type to have loads of posh little rich friends, and while I'm sure she has some black friends, I doubt she'd get away with happily using the N word every 5 mins to them, so it's probably something the white friends say to each other jokingly.

I think it comes down to girls like that thinking they're cooler than they are and can pull off the language they see in songs etc. More fool her for messing with BB.

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:22

Emily: I'm friendly with plenty of black people.

Don't sound like bosom buddies do they?

PinkTulips · 07/06/2007 13:22

Emily: It's not a big deal though is it?

Charley: Not for us it ain't. F**k me.

i think charley meant it's not a big deal for her and the other housemates as they won't be punished but it's a huge deal for emily as she would be punished for it

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:23

I really hope they show it because I want to see what the others say - can't wait for Chanel's reaction, she'll be so smug and superior.

Songbird · 07/06/2007 13:24

Ah, good point pink!

PinkTulips · 07/06/2007 13:27

shame too as i was just starting to like her.

she's gotton ziggy to show his true colours though, gone right off him now he's turned into a little shit stirrer who's so desperate to shag the posh spice wannabe he'll lay into everyone else in the house

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 07/06/2007 13:33

do you think pink I dont like him but i think emily was very bitchy about chanel there does seem to be pick on the girl the only boy fancys syndrom!

bananabump · 07/06/2007 13:33

I don't now, pinktulips. My own thoughts on ziggy were that he doesn't like the bitchiness (few men do) and much of the silliness that accompanies the younger girls.

When he kicked off at Emily the other night, it looked vicious only because he was a man shouting as enthusiastically and for as long as a woman would. I think what he said was mostly fair apart from maybe the "wait til them men get here, you'll all be sluts then" comment which was a bit

He's only human though, personally I don't know any straight men who could go into that house full of squealing singing bitching girls and not get fed up with it all now and then, especially as he rarely gets any space!

compo · 07/06/2007 13:33

they aren't going to show it, it said on bbc news.
Think it's because they got so much criticism for broadcasting racist comments made on CBB
