Apparently she called Charley the N word in a 'joking manner' whilst they were dancing and was chucked out at 3 in the morning.

Stupid, silly naive girl

You posted the link. You said what you said.
You can't expect people not to have an opinion on that.

I give up. Oh and you're the one name calling, it seems.

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 21:32

Gonna report that post booboobedoo?

Mercy · 07/06/2007 21:32

Hey come on, calm down, don't go.

Why do you think you have been misunderstood?
(genuine question as I haven't read the thread or watched Bb)

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 07/06/2007 21:33

and the bet goes on.....

sorry, my lame attempt at a tongue in cheek joke there. As I said earlier we freely use the words bitch, cow etc on here, and to our friends, which are offensive SOMETIMES

It is all about context.

Game playing

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 21:37

look thedevil,i don't think what you are trying to do is working here.you are trying to make a joke of it.but it isn't a joking matter.maybe you don't find the term offensive (why would you?) but for some of us,who are black or our dc/dp whatever are,it is very offensive.and believe it or not, even people who don't have any link to the black community still find the term offensive.the link wasn't needed.it has shocked me that you even looked for it tbh.there is no point trying to make light of it.there is nothing light about racism of any sort.

Mercy · 07/06/2007 21:38

Right, I'll ask again.

Is it the link the or the comment which where in the same post which is considered offensive?

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 21:39

Read the thread Mercy

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 07/06/2007 21:40

I did not f'ing search for the link.
My DP got it in an email which had a lengthy discussion about the current big brother race row, and a far more intelligent one than this actually.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 21:40

i was offened by thedevil earlier.the link was the final straw for me.i don't even know if she was trying to be offensive.but i do think she needs to think about other people's feelings a bit more.

Booboobedoo · 07/06/2007 21:42

Plummymummy: no, because it is not aimed at one particular poster.

I care about this site, and if personal attacks weren't reported, it would turn into a really nasty place to be.

You can disagree with people without being snide or shouting them down.

I really am going now. If anyone's interested, the 'are you a slut' thread is funny.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 07/06/2007 21:43

Oh and even sweeter irony that I am now being referred to as 'thedevil'.

I wish I could stop posting on here, but I will not leave it until someone who understands me points out exactly what I have been trying to say and the rest of you listen.

So it's ok to call more than one person a bitch

plummymummy · 07/06/2007 21:46

Don't waste your breath. You could be waiting a long time. I am intrigued by your tenacity but I have now tired of this thread.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 07/06/2007 21:47

plummymummy just leave this. You haven't read the thread properly, you cannot form a reasonable arguement, you are the equivelant of someone who stands on the edge of a fight shouting 'punch him'

Nightynight · 07/06/2007 21:47

well it does look a bit like it from here.

I think that Devilwears means that we shouldnt get wound up over a silly girl using what she thinks is a hip word, when there is real racism out there.

Actually, I dont agree, because there are still many violent racists in the UK, who would take this as encouragement to go out and abuse or attack people of different races.

But I dont think for a moment that Devilwears is a racist.

electra · 07/06/2007 21:52

Well if anyone thinks that what happened in BB isn't racist then I wonder why tbh...

Nightynight · 07/06/2007 21:55

devil, "ex-argez iu taqabaylit", so I understand where you are coming from a bit...

Booboobedoo · 07/06/2007 21:56

Er...

Perhaps because they've thought it through rather than just lifting up their pitchforks with the mob?

Must leave this thread. This is not a discussion.

Mercy · 07/06/2007 21:57

Plummy, as I said earlier I have skim read the thread. I get the gist.

I don't object to TDWP doing the link although I disagree with her comment that went with it.

I do agree though that what the BB person said is the thin end of the wedge. But that doesn't make it right obviously

persephonesnape · 07/06/2007 22:05

as a tangent. what do people wo find the n word offensive, think of the word Pikey to describe lower class chav types? does anyone think that that has a racist overtone?

personally, I;ll stick my head above the parapet and say that I think TDWP has been misinterpreted. She didn't condone the behaviour in that clip. it was an illustration.

Nightynight · 07/06/2007 22:07

I wouldnt let my children say the word pikey.

TaylorsMummy · 07/06/2007 22:09

don't like the word pikey.not want i'd use but don't think (personally) it is comparable to n
