I think she's hoping to trade on "I would have won the apprentice but I turned it down (because I am too good for Sir Alan...)" or maybe she realised that she would have failed the final task because she'd shafted all the other candidates and she can't cope with losing. I think she slept/blackmailed/bludgeoned her way to where she has got. Presumably her mother did all the pureeing... What a seriously nasty piece of work. I think I'd like Simon to go throguh because Kristine was pretty unpleasant too - would not like to work for her (althogh I wouldn't like to be Simon's tenant either!)
