And no mention of the Daily Mail.

Last night was abit more interesting but yet more young boobs in our faces. She’s so much like Whitney I wonder if Helen thought that?

Did you notice the up the bum sex reference yet again? It was alluded to in the first season a couple of times. I dunno why the writer had to bring it up again.

What I don’t understand is what airport did they land at that Cole could just pull in to? Where is Princeton?

Thanks for starting a new thread. I am feeling like it's all starting to go somewhere now and at least we now know why Noah's student was with them. Minor point but it annoyed me that when Noah turned up to give them a lift, Aston just put his bag in the boot without even saying hi or thanks or anything Grin
I reckon next weeks will be good.

Badtasteflump · 08/08/2018 17:56

Aha thanks for pointing new thread Smile

Not sure what I thought of last night's episode. I think the first and second season were really good, mainly because they concentrated on the narrative of the four main characters. I know other characters have to come into play, but imo the writers go into too much detail about characters who end up being pretty inconsequental, like French woman last season and Noah's boss & her family this one. I find it frustrating watching looong scenes about other characters when I'm only really invested in what happens to the main four. And last night's episode had too much of that.

The sex scenes seem to be there for the sake of it too.

Having said all that, I'm still enjoying it. And I'm finding the acting between Helen and Vik in particular really good - despite her annoying pout.

Badtasteflump · 08/08/2018 17:58

And btw - I'm just assuming that the storyline about Noah's boss and her family will end up being inconsequential!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/08/2018 18:28

thanks for new thread tho my brain cant forget what i read :(

onedayatatime73 · 08/08/2018 18:31

Did anybody be else feel that the first half of last night’s episode felt like a throwback to Sex in the City? (Trying to ignore all the other nonsense).

EachandEveryone · 08/08/2018 18:42

Yes it totally reminded me of that too!! Helens pout is really annoying me and the neighbour looking so like Whitney. Please don’t let Noah near her.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/08/2018 19:30

Noah wouldn’t would he

Vic was a bit mean to HELEN

Also selfish. Wanting a child knowing he will be dead

Janet Jackson has ivf help tho lol

sonsmum · 08/08/2018 19:40

So Noah and the student were at O'Hare airport in Chicago, and Cole happens to be close enough to pick them up and take them to Princeton, which is half way between New York and Philly???
Cole of course was on his drive back to Montauk from LA?......how convenient, but still very unrealistic to think he could pick them up!
But somehow i find this more realistic than Helen's antics at joshua tree, Vic and the neighbours antics and Noah and the principal's antics. It's like they thought 'lets turn up the x factor'.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/08/2018 19:55

OMFG

just seen first half - that neighbour is a Randy sausage

Didn’t expect that from HELEN !!!

Badtasteflump · 08/08/2018 19:59

Loving 'randy sausage' 🤣🤣🤣

EachandEveryone · 08/08/2018 21:13

Well after the way she went on about anal I totally expected it!

ihatethecold · 09/08/2018 07:39

Watching Noah shag actually makes me cringe.
Did anyone else start to feel anxious when Helen was in the floatation thingy and she was banging to get out?

Badtasteflump · 09/08/2018 08:19

Oh my god yes it was horrible to watch (through a gap in my fingers!)

TomHardysBackpack · 09/08/2018 09:05

ihatethecold - yes the sex scene with Noah seemed really fake - I was totally cringing.

EachandEveryone · 09/08/2018 10:00

Yes the chemistry is not there.

OP posts:
NotPennysBoat · 09/08/2018 10:49

@ihatethecold I felt my heart racing when Helen was banging on the tank! Never considered myself claustrophobic but I was actually panicking just watching that!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/08/2018 13:36

I just got bored of boobs

Plus can’t believe neighbour has shagged then both

Just wanting for her to be preg

ihatethecold · 09/08/2018 14:43

Oh yes. She will definitely be pregnant. So predictable!

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 09/08/2018 22:17

I'm watching again now but I'm still behind, Cole is in Cali, Vik has just shagged the neighbour.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 10/08/2018 00:51

Binged and so fully caught up

The narrative contradicts itself so much and I don't mean how it deliberately used to but eg

Noah gets Ed Sheeran tickets, Trevor refuses to go. It's clear that they don't spend time with him under any circumstance

Helen goes to hippy thing. "Children with Noah "

We see Noah is actually with Janelle and Anton.

Where are Trevor and Stacey?!

That episode, number 7, was also so fucking tedious I nearly switched off but numbers 3-6 weren't bad

ihatethecold · 10/08/2018 07:15

Oh yeah. I missed that about the kids.

EachandEveryone · 10/08/2018 12:52

I just presumed it was Vik she rang up and the kids were with him.

OP posts:
MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 10/08/2018 13:24

No she rang Vik and said the kids were with Noah

I find the Noah as White Saviour Teacher Storyline a bit off as a trope it's done to death but also

What high school principal wouldn't know how important it is for someone to see a uni they are considering attending. Please.

Cel982 · 11/08/2018 08:06

Catching up here, just watched the episode with Cole's walkabout and Vik buying the Porsche. Jesus. If this had been the first episode I'd seen, I'd never have watched it again. These (presumably male?) writers indulging their middle-aged fantasies of young, half-naked women presenting themselves for sex need to be fired.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 11/08/2018 11:30

Yes particularly Coles who was a "proxy" for his fathers lover and who "came with the room" like a travel kettle!
