Last night was abit more interesting but yet more young boobs in our faces. She’s so much like Whitney I wonder if Helen thought that?

Did you notice the up the bum sex reference yet again? It was alluded to in the first season a couple of times. I dunno why the writer had to bring it up again.

What I don’t understand is what airport did they land at that Cole could just pull in to? Where is Princeton?

But the Joshua Tree bit was awful.

Yes please... I don't know what I think. I hated the way they found out. Why would Athena tell the rapist dad first?! Surely she would have called Cole? I thought Cole's acting was really good though - and Noah's. But at the end of the show both DH and I said we didn't feel any emotions about Alison's death, even though she's a main character and we've watched it from the start. So that's a bit :/

The dad's wife took all their phones before lunch so maybe she had called Cole.
Agree I didn't feel affected by her death other than sad for Cole and Joni.
On a trivial note I liked the hotel scenes with Noah calling Cole sweetheart and Cole switching the TV from sport to a wedding programme to support their story!

I felt similar to Alison's death. Tbh she was getting on my nerves the last few episodes.

Great acting from Cole & Noah.

I reckon it was Ben. He started drinking again, kicked off, got aggressive, accidentally killed Alison.

Unless there's a big twist!

The tv listing for episode 9 says "Ben finally confesses the truth to Alison...."

Does this mean next week's episode will be a flashback? I almost feel like they have shown the episodes the wrong way around Confused

Yes I think it will be a flashback but maybe with a bit if a cliff hanger, as I imagine there will have to be a 'whodunnit' ending so there's a point to a fifth season.

I'm so disappointed with this show. Season one was excellent but it went downhill from season 2 really.

Noah and Helen get back together, and send the bratty Trevor off to military boarding school. They live happily ever after.

I cannot stand the different viewpoints it’s just tedious. It was a good idea at the time but now we aren’t remotely invested in them it just be just a straightforward drama.

I wondered if there was supposed to be ambiguity about whether Alison had actually gone off somewhere. The stuff with Helen about getting a 'second act' and starting over, Noah seeing her body rather than Cole when Noah and Alison had a heart to heart in California...

I can't remember exactly but I'm guessing there'll be some flashbacks to her trio to LA and journey back home. The trip there was pretty eventful with that weird guy on the plane etc.

I felt the same as pp - really unattached to Alison’s death other than the effect it had on Cole and Noah. Thankfully I didn’t read a spoiler because that would have really p*ssed me off!

Kind of agree with legolammb. There has to be something in the fact that Cole was given the photos to identify but didn't look at them, then only Noah viewed the body..... They also didn't show the body to the audience either. I could be overthinking but I wonder if Noah is in on something? But then why would Alison want to disappear especially as she has Joanie?

I think we are over thinking. The actor was complaining about pay to the press so they wrote her out. That’s what I think anyway. It’s doing my head in I must admit. It started off so well.

Since the last thread and we were told ALISON died it did ruin it for me :(

But what is done is done

Tbh I always assumed they would kill her off so no more affairs or get back with Cole and turn a full 360

Seems weird they showed death abs then next week will be flashbacks and yes meant to be a new series in 2019

I think it’s run it’s time tbh

I don’t think ALISON would kill her elf due to Joanie but more but by drowning as that how their first child died - well secondary drowning

I am also thinking that BEN had something to do with her death

Guess will find out next week ......

I didn't realise that Ruth Wilson had actually left the show, hence my earlier comment.
But now I feel like saying WTAF - she is the main character of the show?!? The whole first series revolves around her, so I have no idea what next season will be about. It's just got stupid now - would have been really nice to end the show with Cole and Alison getting back together. Now he is stuck with Luisa who he doesn't want to be with. Stupid bloody show.
