And no mention of the Daily Mail.

Last night was abit more interesting but yet more young boobs in our faces. She’s so much like Whitney I wonder if Helen thought that?

Did you notice the up the bum sex reference yet again? It was alluded to in the first season a couple of times. I dunno why the writer had to bring it up again.

What I don’t understand is what airport did they land at that Cole could just pull in to? Where is Princeton?

Ha yes I thought that - and what was the powdery stuff Ben was putting into the mixing bowl to make the pancake things? I couldn't work it out Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2018 14:50

Omg. Just seen 9

I was right. Knew NOWAY ALISON would kill herself

Now e10

Wonder what else can it show

Badtasteflump · 22/08/2018 14:58

I'm still really confused about what is the 'real' version. I'm such a saddo that I've been googling it. Lots of people are saying neither are the real version - they are both just Alison's imaginings of how it might have gone, based on her 'old' self and her 'new' empowered self after her talk with Helen Confused.

And that we won't get to see the 'real' version until next season at some point Hmm

Was it just me that saw three versions in episode 9 then? I saw Alison's 'happy' version, then the horrible one, but then there was an ad break followed by the horrible one again, without it saying it was 'Alison's viewpoint at the start. It got really repetitive as I kept expecting it to be slightly different but it wasn't Confused

DuchessMinnie · 22/08/2018 16:04

I thought it was great. Helen got the apology she deserved from Vic and she seemed accepting and at peace. The Alison versions were strange, even down to her wearing jeans or a dress. Clearly Cole will make it his mission to get to the bottom of what happened and Ben will end up in court next season.

I felt sorry for Luisa at the funeral and afterwards, and I've never been a fan of hers. It's the right decision to split up. I'm happy with how it ended- just wish we didn't have to wait so long for the next season.

mikado1 · 22/08/2018 22:23

Was the third not just a continuation after the break? Tbh I was so tired staying up to watch it, I'll have to rewatch it all. Agree with pp re Luisa. Not a fan but tough going for her.

Artichoke18 · 22/08/2018 23:00

The Ben stories were really affecting - same person, same sad story but totally different in how they handle it. I am relieved she was killed (if she was) rather than doing it to herself, though I'm not sure why! Noah more likeable this series. Loved their catch up at the end.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 23/08/2018 00:02

I'm nearly up to date and I found both episodes hard going in terms of how much I cared if I'm honest

I did like that Cole took the urn and ran from Athena's wanky inappropriate ceremony

EachandEveryone · 23/08/2018 01:30

Surely it shouldve ended there? Where can they go with it now?

I didnt notice three versions. However they made a point of showing the statue that was covered in blood, wouldnt the police have gone to her house? I cant believe there wasnt a scrap of dna anywhere there was alot of blood.

I didnt see the point of Whitney unless it was just to ger her with the neighbour so we could see how alike they are!

I dunno i know i’ll watch it again. It seems an idyllic gig for the actors im surprised Ruth Watson walked from it. Or, did she? The writers are so right on liberals id be surprised if there was any inequality goung on. Mind you i wouldve said that about Transparent and they soon got rid of the lead actor who had won them loads of awards.

How long do we have to wait for the next series?

EachandEveryone · 23/08/2018 22:18

No idea but it doesnt look like anyone else watched it on here!

OP posts:
MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 23/08/2018 22:43

There was a time the show always tended to run from after Christmas til Easter but that seems to have changed

It won't be til 2019 at any rate

EachandEveryone · 23/08/2018 22:48

There’s no need for another one. I don’t see how and please god, no other points of view there’s no need.

theladylovescupcakes · 23/08/2018 22:51

Just watched the finale - wow! I'm drained!

ihatethecold · 24/08/2018 07:39

I think Maura should get an Emmy for her acting. She is incredible in this.
So moving.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2018 15:27

Told you neighbour would be preg

Sooooooo obvious

Sad about Vic

Not sure where next season can go

I only saw 2 views

And BEN killed her

Did feel sorry for coles wife at funeral but funny /good rhatbhe ten away with Alison’s ashes

Cole isn’t over ALISON. Prob never will be

Wonder is HELEN will get together with ex

EachandEveryone · 24/08/2018 15:53

Yes but what happened to the police investigation of Alison? A simple house search would’ve shown some dna at the very least. I’m not convinced.

OP posts:
mikado1 · 24/08/2018 21:09

You're not convinced he killed her? The DNA thing doesn't make sense, unless he scrubbed the place? She was missing before they found her so surely someone was in her apartment.

EachandEveryone · 24/08/2018 21:29

That’s what I’m saying what kind of police force is it? It should’ve been obvious

OP posts:
Cel982 · 24/08/2018 21:49

But Ben's admitted to being in her apartment more than once (in fact Cole ran into him there on another occasion), so finding his DNA there wouldn't prove anything...

EachandEveryone · 24/08/2018 22:33

Her blood?

OP posts:
Cel982 · 25/08/2018 07:12

Yeah, they could find some blood traces, depending on how well he cleaned up. But it's her apartment, so there would be a hundred other explanations for finding her blood there - it certainly wouldn't be conclusive.

Just catching up on the final episode now (baby up at the crack of dawn so taking advantage now while he potters around Brew)

ihatethecold · 25/08/2018 09:03

Maybe that’s why they showed her cutting her finger on the tap and it bleeding.

EachandEveryone · 25/08/2018 10:02

That statue? I’m not saying he never did it I’m saying what a crap police force to conclude it so quickly considering how obsessed they were with the driving incident!

OP posts:
HannahnotAgnes · 25/08/2018 19:15

Just watched the last 2 episodes & thought they were great - can't believe that Ben killed her & is going to get away completely free though.

They didn't leave any stone unturned with Scotty's hit & run but closed the book on Alison so easily. I guess it's easy to see as I thought she'd probably killed herself too but really don't want him getting away with it.

If it weren't for that, I think it made for a great final ever episode as it closed all other loose ends, with enough ambiguity for us to imagine what happens with each character next.

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 25/08/2018 19:20

Came on the thread just to say how much I laughed when Cole picked the ashes up like a rugby ball and did a runner with them. Was unintentionally hilarious.
