Are the police interested in the death of a druggie so much that a five minute discrepancy requires an investigation

In the real world definitely not but hey why would Corrie let facts get in the way of a pointless storyline

It's not even the fact that he's just a dead druggie either, it's the fact that Ryan didn't actually do anything that bad. Basically he found his friend (random bloke) fitting and he panicked and, instead of dialling 999, he rang his alternate self who's a trainee doctor. The trainee doctor was two minutes away. When he arrived, within a few minutes he said, "Have you not rung a bloody ambulance?" "No". "Well ring the bloody ambulance" So he did. I get why the drug dealer would be unamused as, theoretically, the ambulance arriving a few minutes earlier might have helped (but probably wouldn't), but I don't get why anyone would imagine that the police would care.

I thought he was a trainee and that's why he was doing placements in various different places including the GP surgery. Maybe I expected too much in thinking they had tried to explain that.... Wink

Will Hes 26 so assuming he.started his medical degree at 18/19 he would have qualified at 23/24 and then after his foundation yr he woyld be a junior dr they are still training in their speciality but drs i dont suppose corrie would expect us to thonk too much about it Grin

It is a horrible storyline. I wish they'd stop focusing on issues, and just develop characters and scripts.

The actor that played Andy must be gutted that they wrote him out, but have kept Steve in for years. Can barely remember Andy now, but he had to be a better actor than Steve. Bet he won't be at his brother's wedding to Tracy.

Agree. We’re already dealing with Jack losing his foot, David’s rape, a dead druggie, Jim’s scam, Jude’s scam of Roy, Sally in prison, we’ve only just got past phelans killing spree and now a cancer plus choice of terminating a wanted pregnancy story?? It far too much.

Clawdy I watched the classic corrie today and they’re in 1990. Teenage Andy is in it. Steve’s just run off with his girlfriend to the Lake District. HE sounds so squeaky Grin

I like the dynamic in the 1990 episodes with Steve "stealing" the girls from Andy as he's better looking and smoother and then the boys having a big fight and trashing their shared room and Tracey hanging around chatting to Steve. Better than Faye with a baby at 12/13 and Seb with Hiv at 17 although they are currently totally forgotten about with so much else going on.

What's going on with Sinead? I've not watched the last couple of episodes. I watch Corrie if I'm home, but can never be bothered with catch up.
