I was thinking Adam and Jenny. She's had such a shit time and deserves a fit young bloke. Either him or Imran.

Or maybe I’m conflating two stories there, I think Michelle and Steve got back together in a hospital! But I remember Tracy being ill and no one believed her

cloudyweewee · 18/08/2018 20:12

I think you're right, Fred - that rings a bell. I suppose like any Corrie illness. it can be forgotten about and then used when the occasion suits.

Clionba · 18/08/2018 20:15

Didn't Tracey fall downstairs when she was pregnant with twins, and miscarried them?

OP posts:
SgtFredColon · 18/08/2018 20:50

Yes and she blamed Becky for it.

kikashi · 18/08/2018 21:52

A while back Traceyluv said she felt one day and clutched her side near her kidney and the next day IIRC she collapsed in the flower shop but Beth found her and got help.

Deadringer · 19/08/2018 00:43

Iirc Tracey had a bad infection in her kidney and the hospital were concerned that it might fail but the magical weatherfield doctors waved their wands after a shed load of antibiotics she was fine.

ScrumpyCrack · 20/08/2018 19:42

Was Corrie on over the weekend? Feels like I’ve missed one. When did Leanne and Imran have a thing?

Clionba · 20/08/2018 19:51

Friday, second episode. They had a drink together in the pub. She asked for the job of legal secretary (Hmm). He interviewed her (Hmm) then Imran suggested going back to his place. They ran out of the Rovers like rats out of a trap.

Shock I must have zoned out! Thank you for that.

It sounds like such a bizarre mini-story that my brain might have rejected it Grin

Clionba · 20/08/2018 19:57

Most understandable, Scrumpy.
Ahhh, Sabeen arrives to create problems for Imran.

"Bloody hell, ginger spice has aged quickly"
Said about a character in tonight's episode.. no prizes for guessing which.. :)

Clionba · 20/08/2018 20:09

Ha ha 😂!!! What the hell does Claud do to get hair like that??!!

Yoyooo · 20/08/2018 21:03

I'm just watching the first episode. What's the deal with the homeless girl Sean is pals with?

Clionba · 20/08/2018 21:19

No idea. They are the most improbable friends. She seems to have latched on to him and he's not even pleasant to her.

OP posts:
Yoyooo · 20/08/2018 21:26

Was she giving favours to the older guy who wanted the vodka? I can't quite tell what's going on

Clionba · 20/08/2018 21:31

I've no idea. That old guy that asked for the voddy got Sean sacked, but that thin woman was waiting outside. I don't know what their game is.

OP posts:
Thesearmsofmine · 20/08/2018 21:52

I think they were hinting that she was giving the old bloke sexual favours for drugs.

eddiemairswife · 20/08/2018 22:04

Where does Billy get his weird 'vicar' shirts from?

Clionba · 20/08/2018 22:10

No idea. And why is he always carrying that satchel? What's in it? A Bible??

OP posts:
BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 20/08/2018 22:54

Can the writers please stop making Gail a blithering idiot, it’s embarrassing to watch, why have they made such a central character a joke figure? Helen Worth must cringe when she gets her scripts.

tinstar · 21/08/2018 01:31

BettyBoo - totally agree. The scene where she was on the phone was cringeworthy. SO ridiculous and SO unfunny.

Clionba · 21/08/2018 08:13

Corrie was always reknowned for having strong, independent female characters, especially older ones. Why have they turned into perpetual victims and/or idiots, in thrall to the latest man?

OP posts:
Clawdy · 21/08/2018 09:20

Yes, that silly baby voice on the phone, what was that about? Ridiculous.

tinstar · 21/08/2018 10:14

And the ridiculous wide-eyed expression that went with it. Are we meant to be amused?

Deadringer · 21/08/2018 12:01

Shouldn't Gail inform the police that a criminal has put money in her bank account, even though he 'owes' her. And surely it's not a coincidence that it's the same amount that the council were scammed out of, £40,000?
