love the old fireman sam's. DS says fire with a welsh accent (we live in Herts!)
can't stand Bella on tweenies and Rosie and Jim gives me the creeps.

Lovecat · 04/06/2007 21:59

Baby Chef freaks me out... his relationship with Miss Kettle is highly questionable... and I'm sure he's sponsored by Tate & Lyle - everything he makes has a ton of sugar in it!

Like:
Schportacus - yum yum (and I have a soft spot for Robbie Rotten's lifestyle - cake, sleep, fancy dress - what's not to like??)
Tikkabilla for Paul (yowsa yowsa)
Charlie & Lola because I love the way she constructs her sentences
Higgledy House
Shaun the Sheep

Cannot abide:
Me Too
Come Outside (lol @ carbon footprint comment - the OH says exactly the same thing!)
The Shiny Show
Smarteenies - good idea, terrible presenters(particularly Lizzie - close that mouth, you toothy gonk!!)
Fimbles - I also find the Tinkling Tree deeply disturbing... something not right about it!
Most of the Baby TV output (unfortunately DD is mesmerised & has started to demand it) with the honourable exception of Kenny & Gourie - I like the way they dance! Don't get me started on Harry the Bunny (we have customised his song - He's Harry the Bunny, he's not very funny, he's Harry the Bunny from Hell!)

pooka · 04/06/2007 22:02

I like The Secret Show, Angelina Ballerina, Shaun the Sheep the Hoobs, Charlie and Lola.
Can't abide Krypto the Super Dog OR Dora/Diego the explorer

twinmumma · 06/06/2007 19:34

peppa pig and hi5 rule!! AND Charlie and Lola of course - but that goes without saying.
Re Nathan comment earlier (Hi5) - got to admit that boy can dance!! but know what u mean re annoying! Not as annoying as Charlie's speaking and singing voice- grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Butkin · 19/09/2007 11:58

Shocked by you not liking Max Rabbit - he is so funny.

We watch Peppa Pig even when DD isn't in the room. Daddy Pig is so like DH

dalmatianbabe · 20/09/2007 19:22

I love Jakers! Irish twinkly eyed piglet and chums rollicking in the countryside. Makes my kids laugh like drains.

In the summer CBBC started showing (at weekends) an Australian cartoon called Dogstar which we happened to catch right at the beginning and totally loved - clever and original and a proper story - but it seemed not to take off & the time-slots started changing ... you can only now see it in its burial slot at 7 am (Sat am) on BBC2. Really sad.

Dh has written a Cross Letter to the BBC about it.

I haven't gone through everything below, but we have Clangers on DVD which ds & dd (aged 8 and nearly-7) watch over and over raptly. It is clear that, for them, Small Clanger and Tiny Clanger are like looking in a mirror .
