Tiredemma,
I took my ds 3.5 to see The Tweenies (The Enchanted Toy Box) - It was great, we all loved it ! Have to say I didn'y cry though.

I like:

Blue Cow in the story makers (has a touch of Jonathan Livingston Seagull about it all).

Boogie Babies (Yeah!)

Shaun The Sheep

Engjy Bengjy

Lazytown

Postman Pat (for the geordie teacher, with a dodgy accent).

MaMonkey · 31/05/2007 09:00

"I have MET Chris from Doodle do. He gave me a kiss"

B*tch!

AttilaTheMeerkat · 31/05/2007 09:08

I like Ed, Edd and Eddy and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast.

mumzarello · 31/05/2007 09:33

I like
The numberjacks - my dd (8mths) gets very excited about them for some reason, but ....whispers I watch it even if she is asleep

Also the shiny show - I just love the phrase "give yourself a shiny"!

Judy7 · 31/05/2007 09:41

Totally adore Charlie and Lola - the voices are fantastic - confess to rushing bathtime "because we don't want to miss it do we?" Have bought the dvd for me rather than for ds.

Would like to shoot bloody Big and annoyning Little cook though. Ugh.

choosyfloosy · 31/05/2007 09:43

SHAUN THE SHEEP we all love - it's like the simpsons, we all arrive at the sofa together for it. I love it when Sean gives one of the sheep an old-fashioned look- how do they make the sheep so expressive with eyes only? and i absolutely love the dog with his cuppa tea, bad teeth and floral deckchair, and i love the farmer.

ds loves in the night garden, come outside. He finds numberjacks a bit scary - spooky spoon gives him the willies, plus the big buildup to shooting out of the sofa each time is a bit much for him [sensitive plant emoticon]

i love sportacus but loathe lazytown. Why can't they just have sportacus doing pressups? All day long?

DontCallMeBaby · 31/05/2007 09:53

Aw, choosyfloosy, poor little DS - that was me as a child. I was scared of Bagpuss and Mr Ben, the former when he opened his eyes and the latter when the Shopkeeper appeared. Definitely a sensitive plant. I'm alright now though, I have to watch Dr Who in the dining room with no sofa to hide behind, and it's not too bad.

babybore · 31/05/2007 10:04

Shaun the sheep - as choosy says, what's not to like?

Big cook, little cook - catchy songs, freestyle dancing, enthusiastic cooking. I don't get why it's so unpopular!!

Nina and the neurons
Come outside
Numberjacks

Worst: Balamory and the Tweenies

choosyfloosy · 31/05/2007 10:38

babybore are you kidding re big cook? Teaching children that it takes 1 hour and a load of research to do pineapple and maraschino cherries on toast (barf)? insincere laughter with dead eyes behind which dark things lurk?

[must stop taking children's tv seriously]

Anchovy · 31/05/2007 11:02

Oooh, you can keep you cuddly, girly, fuzzy wuzzy programmes, its Robot Wars for me, or even better, Robot Wars Extreme.

I came in from work the other day and DS (5)came running to the door shouting, "Quick, quick mum, its Dantonkia on Robot Wars" and I went through and sat and watched it without even taking my coat off.

We all sit on the sofa shout "Pit! Pit!" when the buzzer goes and actually getting excited about which of the house robots its going to be.

Let the W-A-A-A-A-R-R-R-R-S-S-S-S-S begin...

(Also like Charlie & Lola. But definitely not Come Outside? The decor of her house makes me feel uncomfortable)

Charlie & Lola
Horrid Henry
Pocoyo
Come Outside
used to love Byker Grove

Can't stand Higgledy House - think Chris is weird -sorry!
Muffin the Mule and Andy Pandy are tedious in the extreme and were far better in their original format

KezzaG · 31/05/2007 16:17

I like the ones with little minature towns - Postman Pat, fireman Sam that kind of thing.

Cant be doing with Auntie Mabel, she takes the plane to a factory if she runs out of bread - that womans carbon footprint must be huge! I did have to admire her cool under pressure when she was trapped in the cupboard with the chip pan on fire though.

accessorizewithbabysick · 31/05/2007 16:22

DP and I couldn't find anything to watch the other week, so we put on Charlie & Lola from the hard disk recorder. Bit sad really, but we enjoyed ourselves!

talcy0 · 31/05/2007 16:24

Pingu's always good for a laugh!

juicychops · 31/05/2007 17:20

SueBaroo · 31/05/2007 18:17

lazy town - also for sportacus - something about a man in lycra!!

--------

chafing, I would have thought...

Haribosmum · 31/05/2007 20:18

We like (I mean me )

Peppa Pig (Except when ds1 starting singing 'muuuuuuuuuummy pig!'

Hi5 - just for the cheesy songs

Wiggles - I know ALL the songs

Wonderpets, wonderpets we're on our way. To save a little kitten and save the day.

How sad am I??????
