I like Come Outside...
Auntie Mabel is a legend

Even Stevens makes me laugh

and something special and higgedly house

Dh loves anything with Sarah Jane!

MaMonkey · 30/05/2007 09:14

is that chris?

Hands off!

oliveoil · 30/05/2007 09:16

oh yes Higgeldy House. That is the ONLY time they sit quietly in front of the TV. I may hire Sara Jane and Justin when I want to mop the floor or change some sheets

I like Fifi too, they get their teapot house out and set it up in front of the tv and say "look it's the SAME!!" in wonderment, bless

snowleopard · 30/05/2007 09:18

I love Charlie and Lola - work of genius.

More fitting your description though is Step Inside which DS adores - "house face!" - I loathed it at first especially the grotesque clock and cat - but now actually look forward to it because Chris is so great at reading the stories and doing silly voices (far better than most of the bedtime story readers...)

Don't like Come Outside, I always feel so embarrassed for the RL working persons being forced to pretend they're interacting with Auntie Mabel.

oliveoil · 30/05/2007 09:19

that house face used to scare dd1!

tortoiseSHELL · 30/05/2007 09:20

Ones I love;
Charlie and Lola - they ARE my two eldest! The way they behave, the way they speak! And the fact that dd still get's Lola's name wrong and calls her Loola!
Doodle do - again, for reasons entirely concerning the presenter
Numberjacks - just like it
Springwatch - it's actually educational
Shiny Show - often aimed at the adults!
LazyTown - shamefully, for Sportacus.
Little Robots - great voices.
Bob the builder - just a class above the rest. Especially the Christmas special with Noddy Holder 'It's CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIISTMAS', Elton John, Chris Evans, Alison Steadman.

Ones I HATE;
Me Too - unadulterated rubbish.
In the f-ing night garden - who came up with that crap? MACKAPACKA.

DontCallMeBaby · 30/05/2007 09:21

Criteria:

  • if DD doesn't want to watch it, do I still want to keep it on?
  • am I actually excited when I realise it's an episode I've not seen before?

That would be Charlie & Lola, Little Princess and Peppa Pig then.

And I must also quite like Come Outside, cos I was quite upset when DD went through her 'don't LIKE Pippin' phase (what's not to like about Pippin, for heaven's sake?)

talcy0 · 30/05/2007 09:22

well,hello!!

I know olive oil, the whole design on Step Inside, the house face, the clock's face, Boris and Twinkle (bluergh) are the work of someone very strange who's been having a lot of drug-induced nightmares.

snowleopard · 30/05/2007 09:23

I don't like Pippin. Can't be doing with that whole "ingratiating little sausage-stealing cute hairy doggy" vibe. Give me sizzles any day

DontCallMeBaby · 30/05/2007 09:25

Heh, tortoise, Charlie & Loola - we have Charlie and Lala in this house. Which is a bit confusing, as Lala is also DD's favourite Teletubbie, but v cute nonetheless.

Numberjacks is good too, though I'm a bit fed up with having to be number 1 all the time (DD is 3 and DH 6). Easy acting job though. One! One!

MaMonkey · 30/05/2007 09:28

"Shiny Show - often aimed at the adults!"

Oh yes! I like the Shiny Show too. Particularly Mr Cheese.

I'm afraid I really don't like Come Outside. Spooky woman who thinks her dog can understand her and needs his own overnight bag. Weirdo.

talcy0 · 30/05/2007 09:28

Don't like...Mona the Vampire
tis very confusing

Ripeberry · 30/05/2007 09:34

shaun the sheep!!! We love shaun the sheep! Don't really think ds gets it, but I am usually in fits...
And of course, Charlie and Lola, it's so true to how kids of that age are...I agree, genius!

elasticbandstand · 30/05/2007 16:51

is justin on spring watch, large faced man?

liljo2007 · 30/05/2007 16:51

HATE come outside, esp after sewage/poo episode...although it is really quite educational in a non-threatening way. (And i secretly watch Bob the Builder when no-one is in...shhhhhh!{BLUSH}

Desiderata · 30/05/2007 16:53

I like Come Outside, Story Makers, Step Inside (or whatever, with Mr Mopples), Brum (the car is far less weird than the people), Higgledy House, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Lazytown (but only because I'd like to shag Sportacus).

Oblomov · 30/05/2007 16:54

Snowleopard we love Pippin, more than Aunty Mabel.
Don't like Carlie & Lola.
And Liljo, dh & I love Shaun, more than ds does.

kslatts · 30/05/2007 16:55

Drake and Josh.

Kewcumber · 30/05/2007 16:59

I have a secret crush on Fireman Sam

elasticbandstand · 30/05/2007 17:00
