I don't think Josh ever talks about Kaz other than how pretty she is.
His proposal would basically be you are stunning marry me.

TimesNewRoman · 19/07/2018 23:09

Ron Pearlman Grin

Missbrick1 · 19/07/2018 23:09

That preview of Alex & Alex was a challenge I reckon.

TatianaLarina · 19/07/2018 23:10

I think so but a kiss is a kiss.

unique1986 · 19/07/2018 23:11

No it was just a sweet way for Alex to win Alex back with a little help from his friends.
I judge someone on who they are friends with.
And Alex loving Jack 2 is very suss

SmileSweetly · 19/07/2018 23:20

Laura1 giggling and so grateful for being picked, she couldn't hide her excitement...so needy

unique1986 · 19/07/2018 23:24

I am so over love island.

Glad it's nearly over eh 👏

Yamayo · 19/07/2018 23:24

That preview kiss was revolting. Even worse than Adam's slurping.

I did think G and Sam laughing together as they walked off was sweet. It warmed my cynical heart.

And now off abroad for a while so will miss everything! Am relying on you guys carrying on with this most excellent thread.

unique1986 · 19/07/2018 23:33

Apparently they are dong an LGBT series which sounds wayyyy more entertaining and unpredictable.

TiredPony · 19/07/2018 23:39

Georgia has admitted the JACK kiss was filmed twice.

What???
Where?

RainySeptember · 19/07/2018 23:42

I thought they said they definitely weren't making a LGBT version, has there been a development?

bobsandvagene · 19/07/2018 23:43

Has boob job technology improved or is it just more fashionable now to have them done 'less obviously'?

I just remember early to mid 2000s it seemed fashionable to have really obviously fake round boobs where you could practically see the implant lines on the cleavage. It was the norm on Big Brother and among celebs.

unique1986 · 19/07/2018 23:44

Seems they keep changing their minds...
Don't see why they couldn't tho.
I read a link few weeks ago.

RainySeptember · 19/07/2018 23:46

Georgia's post-exit interview with the Mail

Missbrick1 · 19/07/2018 23:58

Some people want the obvious bolt on look. If your thin it’s harder to get the natural look so you need to stay small like Kelly Rowland or Taylor Swift.

hmcAsWas · 20/07/2018 00:04

"As said, I see a reasonably attractive healthy fit young woman who is successful at what she does, who we haven't seen much of to judge further,

Yet on here she's been called, grubby, unattractive, masculine, and weirdly, prone to cold sores. All negative comments on her appearance, I assume by other women, but nothing about her personality. Which in itself is interesting.."

I know this was said pages and pages back but I've only just caught up on this and it rings very true for me. New Laura is a fit, athletic and attractive young woman who is completely comfortable in her own skin and why she is being vilified is beyond me Sad

hmcAsWas · 20/07/2018 00:05

Also - call me naïve but I think Sam and Georgia are genuine

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 20/07/2018 00:11

Why are Megan and Wes still in? Every single time the islanders have been able to save someone Megan or Wes or both has been in the bottom and every single time they have been saved. So many people have left to keep them together, they should have gone weeks ago!

parklives · 20/07/2018 00:29

Ironically Love Island seems to be losing the more genuine couples like Samira & Frankie, now G & Sam.
I hate how sexist is this year, the blokes having lots of childish fun and the women scrapping over the horrid blokes and spending all their time doing hair and makeup.

I haven't seen much of Laura 2 personality, but it's crazy that she is being critiqued so much for her appearance (I think most of the criticism on here is more quoting things that others have said elsewhere).

It seems a totally fix that Jani will win and has been the plan by the producers all along. I am guessing that as interested as we all are in LI the threads non of us actually vote and it's mostly 12-14 year old girls who do vote. Although to be fair, if I had teenage children i would prefer them to want to emulate Jani over any of the others if I had kids they wouldn't be allowed to watch this shite Grin

Echogirl · 20/07/2018 00:53

Cannot stand Alex the doctor, boring as hell and what the heck made him dump Alexandra.
Weird as weird and then tonight trying to crawl back into her good books!!

CharmingHorses · 20/07/2018 03:17

I think the Steph reaction is because she totally discounted Laura 2 as competition. I think she thought Jack 2 was just going through the motions of talking to her because for the camera, to make it look fair etc. She had made a couple of comments about Laura 2 'being one of the boys' etc.

In the contrived world she (and most of them) inhabit it would be unthinkable that the boyish girl (in her eyes) would win the boy. Such a girl would be automatically friend zoned. She doesn't even get a manicure FFS.

I would much much rather have the Laura 2 look and body than any of the rest of them.

With regard to Laura 1 - I really like her but I would not want any man I cared about to be in a relationship with her because she is pretty much bound to make them miserable. They would need to be on guard the whole time to make sure they didn't say or do something that she could interpret the wrong way. It would be like walking on egg shells. Too much like hard work.

RainySeptember · 20/07/2018 05:48

I don't necessarily think that Laura would make any man miserable.

I think on this show she has gone for the wrong men and tried to cling on when she felt their interest decline.

In the recoupling last night I listened to Sam, Jack1, Josh and Wes - all completely besotted and committed to their couples - and I thought that that was probably all that Laura wanted.

I also think that they both bullshitted her quite hard that everything was fine when it clearly wasn't, so she was in that uncomfortable place of being told everything is ok even though you yourself can feel that it's not. It's happened to her twice now, in front of the villa, in front of the viewers. Hard to imagine how that must impact your self esteem and behaviour.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 20/07/2018 06:26

Agree 100% Rainy.

CharmingHorses · 20/07/2018 06:38

They felt they had to tell her 'all was fine' though as whenever they said anything she would say 'I don't understand, what do you mean by that?' - sort of over analysing everything. I am not saying either Wes or Jack 2 were angels, but I really do think she wore them both down with incessant analysis of what they said, did or thought.

I don't think she did this intentionally or maliciously but I for one could not be with someone who behaved like this - especially so early on in a relationship. It sucks the joy and spontaneity out of life.

I agree with the poster who said that Laura really polarises people. She really does.

RainySeptember · 20/07/2018 06:44

I hate it when men treat a woman badly and then she's blamed for 'wearing them down'.

Laura could feel that the temperature of the relationships had changed. She wasn't like that in the beginning, with either of them.

She then naturally wants to ask if everything is ok, so that they can be honest, so that she doesn't look like a mug throwing herself into something that people at home may be able to see isn't genuine or isn't going to last.

And actually, if every needy, neurotic, anxious thing anyone said about a relationship was condensed into an hour of footage I think lots of us would look worse.
