Well, I was defending Laura for getting needy once the boys drew away, but I might have to rethink that because her comment about Britney was ridiculous, serious insecurity..

Those are some very odd comments from a Laura re Britney! How strange to fixate on her age! Maybe it would make more sense if we have a greater context (maybe they were chatting about age and relationships earlier?)
I don’t think you can necessarily conclude that just because Laura is slim she doesn’t eat properly. I could eat like a horse at 29 and was still stick thin unlike now unfortunately

Oh and I think Laura looked lovely as a brunette. Like a Hollywood actress but I can’t remember her name....

With cosmetic surgery and fillers etc..becoming more and more common, how will young people afford it? I can see more people getting into debt in the bid for perfect bodies. When I was that age, my grooming expenses extended to saving up for a pair of Doc Martins!

I think Laura 1 and 2 both look lovely but Laura 1 was seriously weird about Britney!

Yeah that reaction from Laura1 about the Britney thing is very strange. I imagine Paul will back right off now and the whole cycle will be repeated.

I like Laura but that 1st look did look a bit odd. Could be down to the editing, possibly. Have to ask myself how I'd feel if DH had a similar past. He doesn't, obviously, but he did have an ex of 4 years (he was 26 when i met him, i was 24 - my longest relationship at that stage was a FWB one-off thing that lasted about a year). I felt jealous initially that he'd had a previous serious connection. Jealousy is normal. The petty putting Britney down thing isn't great, but a lot of girls do it (probably behind his back though).

On another note, she looks like a stripper in that video. Ratty hair too. When did very visible buttocks become essential?

Really disappointed in Alexandra. Alex is awful on so many counts.

I know that, but she obviously thought he was fit or she wouldn't have had him in her video. I'm not excusing her reaction. I just think that she's not the only person who would react like that, particularly when she's had a few knockbacks recently. It would probably be a similar situation to knowing your new boyf had snogged/shagged the best looking girl in your school. You'd find a reason to hate her. Or, for example, you're on LI and your boyf's ex is drafted in to cause drama.

I'm disappointed she reacted like that, but I don't think it's that unusual.

If dp had once snogged Britney spears as part of a job, years ago, I wouldn't react like that at all.

If him and Britney wanted to be a couple, they would be. It was work and it's fucking Britney spears. Pretty sure they could have tracked eachother down.

Paul is a model though? So Laura’s got to be comfortable with him kissing other women as he probably does a fair bit if it? It’s a bit OTT when he was on a job - it’s not like he actually had a relationship with Britney Spears. That might well be a bit nerve wracking, but her bitchy comments about Britney’s age were completely unnecessary.

I definitely wouldn't react like that, at all, but especially not after knowing someone a few days and not even dating them, never mind being in a relationship.

I can also say with some certainty that none of my friends would react that way with a bloke they've just met either.

There's no way that reaction can be justified. It was very strange, and it will make Paul think wtf and he'll back off.

I'm beginning to think Laura has been badly hurt in the past and her self-esteem is in tatters. I feel quite sorry for her, because she has a lot to offer.

Not looking forward to the Alex squared cringe fest. Looking forward to seeing if Laura can relax a bit with Paul.

As much as Laura annoys me and I often find her cringy to watch I do feel sorry for her too.

Just watched first look again.

Laura does one of the things, that makes me like her. She is sat there going 'that's so funny', sounding pissed off and the look on her face shows that she doesn't find it funny.
I think she is obviously pissed off, but knows deep down knows she is being ridiculous but just can't bring herself to not be a bit shitty.

She has done that loads. Like she wants people to know she is pissed off, but doesn't say anything so that, technically, she has said the right thing and no one can say anything to her about her silly behaviour.

I very much doubt Britney Spears does her own casting for music videos. It's not amateur hour. 🤣

And I really don't think many women would react like that on finding out someone was in a music video with Britney Spears.

I also wouldn't find a reason to hate a girl my husband shagged at school. Although I can't see the relevance, he didn't shag Britney Spears from what I understand, they weren't in a relationship, and who knows what she thought of him.
