A lot of people criticise Georgia for her confidence but I always find this slightly misogynistic - you rarely hear men being criticised for being too confident.

Which brings me to the issue of fake Jacks bromance with Dr Alex. I am 100% convinced this is fake too. He is only using Dr Alex as he knows unlucky in love Alex is the type of HM the public would like like Camila. By him being over friendly with Alex and playing a caring role - it enhances his image. It's as if he was eager to have a Chris -Kem type relationship with Alex to boost his popularity. His mask slipped today but someone of us already saw his ugly face weeks ago.

Have just watched last night’s episode. I am aware the people behind the scenes chop away at the reality and manipulate big time - BUT my overriding feeling was contempt for the smug and judgemental “islanders”.

Hated them all and their reactions. Dani and Jack are such smarmy, shallow lightweights. Dani is a mockney fishwife who is laughably transparent. Ugh

The effect of all this is to make me feel on the side of Sam and Georgia. The rest I very much hope are going to experience considerable discomfort between now and the end.

Unique- totally agree with you about the fake bromance between Alex and Jack
Kem and Chris were genuinely mates. They had the same sense of humour ( which only they understood) . I used to love watching them
There are no really interesting characters this year. Too many insta people.

I think Jack was specifically chosen by the producers as a partner for Dani. I do think their relationship is genuine, but that Jack was picked only because of his suitability for Dani, to ensure that she would be in a strong and stable (lol) couple from the beginning which would see her through to the end. The 'journey' they have had (Jack's ex etc) is so contrived as well, just to give them a bit of a story arc to stop them being too boring to win.

She is in there for 'nation's sweetheart' status.

I think Jack was also chosen for being Jack the lad cheeky chappy with a good heart.

Jack isn't your average good looking sales guy tho.
