Nah, I think they just pick people who they think will couple up and make good tv. For example I suspect they thought Alex and Laura would get it together. And prob be safe to the end.

I really do think folks are over estimating Danny dyers influence if they think he can manipulate love Island, the most popular show on British tv at the moment, to have his daughter win. I mean cmon. Really? It's Danny dyer. 🤣

I must admit I didn't know who Danny Dyer was til Love Island. Even now, I wouldn't be able to pick him out of a line up, far less clock him in the street.

I hate when Jack kept saying Dani s Dad.

These things are reciprocal though aren't they? DD is tweeting and instagramming quite a lot about LI, getting on board with it all, he will have his Eastenders following, his wife has been on TV talking about it, it's all good publicity for the show.

I have always disliked Danny Dyer since that 'cut your ex's face then no one will want her' thing in FHM or whatever it was.

Jack1 mask has slipped a few time recently.

I find a lot he's done very contrived...the dramatic dragging duvet the the outside bed in villa amore etc. The others just put pillows in between them and slept on their side of the bed....no drama

Many other things show he's studied previous seasons carefully and knows how the play the game.

The fact he was following Dani on Instagram and had liked all of her posts (after it was leaked she was entering the villa) but then pretended not to know who she was in the villa.

And the Danny dyer poster above his bed....and his reaction at being rumbled, he looked terrified that his game was up.

Also his reaction to finding out Charlie is rich, and running off to tell Dani when Charlie asked him not to. He was super excited but put a humorous spin on it.

^^it sounds like I dislike him, I don't, I really like him very much, I've loved watching him (especially in the beginning when he was quite entertaining, when hi and Dani were getting to know each other and he was lighthearted) I also think he's a good person, but let's be honest about why he's in there. He's in there to win the £ and Dani is his golden ticket.

Exactly they're all in there, playing a game. Every single one of them is doing what they have to do to win. That doesn't mean it's all fake, more so that they're making the best of the situation they're in.

As for Jack's mask slipping, to be honest I quite like seeing he's not all perfect, he has flaws, he gets pissed off, as we all do. He isn't s robot who isn't showing any emotion. Isn't that what we want as viewed; real people, flaws and all.

I also like Jack but he does seem to be getting a bit grumpy, he's not quite the lighthearted cheeky chappy he was when he first entered the villa. I think he's getting fed up in there. Perhaps because he's putting on this lovely bloke masquerade 24/7 or perhaps because he's just had enough. I don't know.

Danny Dyer only has to say Alright and that it Game over. If it wasn't already.

I think he's getting bored and possibly a little sexually frustrated. Let's face it not much happens, he's stuck with the same few people constantly with no escape and he can't get any genuine quality time with his girlfriend. He's possibly sick of all the drama too, he strikes me as someone who isn't used to and doesn't enjoy drama.

The other series were all shorter, maybe this one is just too long.

It is only 1 week longer than last series. Might be another week next year,
Cant seen them reducing it a week, the ratings are far too good.

But anyhow the problem with Jack, he is too pr planned, he is not intriguing in any way.
The mask slipped a tiny bit, but even so he is not interesting. He is just the Dad.

I just don't understand why it concerns any of the others if Georgia and Sam wanted to stay. As fellow contestants they've no right to scold Georgia for being human, plus things/people aren't always black and white! Yes Dani and Jack would probably leave the island if they're in the same situation but that's only because they know exactly how to play the game considering longterm gain/public perception etc. Ugh I'm too invested.

Last night I came to a realisation.

They have those bloody awful white champagne flutes SO YOU CAN’T SEE HOW MUCH THEY’VE DRUNK and they can edit away willy nilly from a whole conversations footage.

I mean I’m sure everyone else realised that long ago! But it was a big revelation to me! Haha

Oh dear. We as viewers have been totally played haven't we. All the sympathy for Rosie when she'd probably been, at the very least, encouraged by the producers to confront Adam, Adam being completely vilified for his smirking when it now sounds like he knew it was all staged and rehearsed and his smirk was possibly stifled laughter at the ridiculousness of it all.

I haven't actually watched for the last three nights. I'm not sure I'll watch again as I've gone past caring about any of the islanders and don't care who wins anymore.

Why do previous years seem so much better than this year? Last year was a ratings high for LI and it must be a case of success going to the producers' heads and they have totally ruined the show.

First Look throws up some interesting scenarios. It'll be hilarious if Dr. Alex ends up single again.

I can't get too worked up about that Rosie story. So what if she planned what to say. Don't we all plan big conversations in our heads? It's not as if it was written for her.

Zara is just trying to cover up Adam's unpleasantness.

I agree it's all so staged this year, last year was so much better. I'm only still watching as I've invested this much time I might aswell see it through. Never seen the series with Zara Holland Miss GB but apparently it was quite good so might check it out next!

I don't find it strange that Rosie wanted to practise what she wanted though say to him when she confronted him....I find it unkind that jack was on her phone and showed people what he found. And also that Zara needs to go to the papers with it? Unnecessary and unkind.

So whats up with Alex?? is he just not into girls?

Oh dear @ first look. Everyone seems so unhappy! I'm not sure I can bear to watch Alex and Laura go through yet more heartache. It's the first time I'm considering not watching. Why is it just the awful couples like Wegan and Jaz who are working out? I want to see the people I like end up happy too!

If Dr Alex ends up single again he really needs to go. LI is not the place for him. He's been given opportunity after opportunity on a plate (unlike Samira) and it's all just going horribly wrong. He doesn't deserve to be in the final just because people feel sorry for him or he's a nice bloke.
