Yes, Tales of the Unexpected was terrifying. The music chills my bones to this day.

Hammer Horror double-bills on a Saturday night.

The Singing Ringing Tree.

Geoff's trousers in Rainbow.

Brian Cant bursting into song.

JAWS.

I used to think he was behind the settee and sit with my legs tucked up underneath me.

Film- Woman In Black= was on TV YEARS Ago- think I was about 11. Its a ghost story- scared the shit out of me- im still scared to this day.

Tech · 22/05/2007 20:08

Armchair Thriller. The nun. Got a shiver just now thinking about it.

There was a kids show / family drama as well on Sunday afternoon, with a guy locked in a cellar. I think it was Eastern European and dubbed. They used to refer to "the cripple" (non-pc-70s). That used to freak me out so much I couldn't watch it hence sketchy memory of it...

talcyoyo · 22/05/2007 20:10

woman in black
was that the one where she floated over the bed?

I watched Alien when I was quite young too and was convinced for ages that it was hiding behind the door of the loo.

McDreamy · 22/05/2007 20:11

Hammer House of Horror - the one witht the ambulance driver and the yellow teeth sticks in my mind, everyone had a double with yellow teeth and if you saw your own you were going to die!!!

Also Salems Lot when the boy vampire knocks on his brothers bedroom window - aaarrggghh!

talcyoyo- thats the exact part im scared of!! Terrifying.

Ashamed to say that I now have to slep with something covering my eyes for fear of a scary woman floating above me.

mishw · 22/05/2007 20:14

Sapphire and Steel (I now can;t get pack up your troubles out of my head - and its scary - help!!!)

Watched Hallowe'en when I was 11 - scared the shit out of me for years - still can;t watch it now!

Someone else mentioned Spaceboy on another thread - also terryfying

Does anyone else remember a tv series called (i think) Malestrom? It had all these weird and freaky dolls in, but I still watched it even though it freaked me - still don't like dolls now.

Also was scared that I'd catch rabies after seeing that film, however after watching Jaws I love sharks and its my fave film of all time! I also loved the Amazing Mr Blunden

But one of the scariest things in TV was the test card girl!

talcyoyo · 22/05/2007 20:14
