unknownrebelbang · 22/05/2007 18:52

Jon Pertwee as the Doctor. Can't remember which episode, just know i spent most of it behind the settee.

And the childcatcher, although that is now one of my favourite films.

Timeslip - the woman who aged to 200.

alipiggie · 22/05/2007 18:57

Oh yes the Child Catcher - I still shudder when I think of him. I was another one who cowered behind the sofa when the Daleks and Cyber men came on in Dr Who.

belgo · 22/05/2007 18:58

Wurzel changing his head and the daleks.

day of the triffids (i have a morbid fear of fireworks which i'm sure is not entirely unconnected)
V .. the child with the scary forked tongue

Then again the Moomins used to freak me out

tombley · 22/05/2007 19:26

Not a tv thing but, something I do remember was a craze for Pierrot dolls and associated merchandise. I used to hate that scary little crying man pretending to be a doll.

I am for being such a wuss.

liljo2007 · 22/05/2007 19:55

just caught up on this thread- sapphire and steele scared my sister for years-esp the episode where a baby grows up into a bloke in a nappy in about 10 seconds... even now Brahms lullaby freaks her out. And the one set during the Blitz- pack up your troubles singing in the backgrond.. I LOVED that programme, but bet it is SOOO dated now...

NuttyMuffins · 22/05/2007 19:56

Can't remember the name of it, but it had a little troll in it that lived in the wall of a girls bedroom, and he used to come out when she was asleep and suck her breath out of her. Everyone thought it was the cat. Anyway, the troll ended up in lots of bits when he hit the fan.

I think it was called cats eyes, possibly.
