Anyone else counting the hours 'til Friday? Saga banged up and stitched up for the murder of her evil mama; how will she cope? Come on Henrik, save our girl!

OP posts:
Gonegrey31 · 26/06/2018 22:03

The scene my dh remembers is when Saga is with the gangster’s dead daughter , he thinks in a morgue, and she tenderly strokes the girl’s face or does something like that . I’ll have to re-watch it !

HollowTalk · 26/06/2018 22:07

Yes, she's thinking of her sister, isn't she? It's as though she's had to shut down that part of her life because the loss is so great, but then, when she was with the dead girl, there was a crack in the wall and she was back with her sister. Sad

ElasticFirecracker · 26/06/2018 22:10

@SirVixofVixHall thank you, I had forgotten that.

SirVixofVixHall · 26/06/2018 22:20

I don’t think the girls will go to the police, so they will be even more vulnerable now. Is Niels a police psychologist or something to do with the care home ?

anonymice · 26/06/2018 22:29

he's a psychologist who works for the police when needed, I think?

MissWimpyDimple · 26/06/2018 22:54

Apparently human heads are extremely heavy. I really think the delivery lad would have noticed. Also good point about it being hard to know at which point the head was actually put in there?

Frank (CCG) is Swedish. The two girls are danish. I suppose it doesn't mean he couldn't be the creepy step father but it makes it less likely. Also, he's had Astrid and Anna for 6 years. The two girls would have been very young to run away and survive all these years...

SirVixofVixHall · 26/06/2018 23:01

Heads are heavy, but not when they’ve been dead for years . They would have dried out .

HollowTalk · 26/06/2018 23:10

But Astrid and Anna are Danish, too!

AGnu · 26/06/2018 23:28

There's nothing to say that he didn't move some other woman in to "help" her & her daughters while raising Astrid. He could easily be the step-father, or they could've made up the whole thing!

HollowTalk · 26/06/2018 23:49

They said, didn't they, something about making something up, when they were alone in the police station. Then they said they had a horrible stepfather.

AGnu · 27/06/2018 01:54

Yes, but was that done to make us think they made it all up but it's actually roughly true? I feel a bit disconcerted that I find myself wanting 2 teenage girls & their mother to have been kidnapped by a commune-dwelling murderer just so it would tie the storylines up in a neat little bow. I do know it's not real, honest!

SpecialMoomin · 27/06/2018 10:58

The girls said they'd come from Jutland didn't they? So Denmark and not Sweden. That could have been a lie of course. When they were discovered in Copenhagen their first instinct was to bolt for Malmo, would they head back to Sweden if trying to avoid Frank?

helzapoppin2 · 27/06/2018 11:40

I think Frank would’ve had his hands full with Alice and her girls, without two more. Also, wouldn’t Astrid have mentioned them?
They seem too canny to put up with the villagers for long.

HollowTalk · 27/06/2018 11:46

I can't remember the girls being asked many questions, tbh. Were they just refusing to answer?

Frank could've had the teenage girls there, but they escaped a few years ago and have been living rough since. He then went on to have Alice.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/06/2018 12:45

I got so stressed I went to make tea and missed what happened to Alice, assume Frank killed her when she tried to leave ?

FreezerBird · 27/06/2018 12:48

Astrid will surely need therapeutic help won't she? Will that bring her into contact with Neils and the assistant as well?

(Last episode feels a bit late for that but I do feel that friday will be a complex rollercoaster. I think I'll need to take notes...)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 27/06/2018 12:59

I think Frank said Alice had a bad fall. Hmm

Beeblot · 27/06/2018 13:03

I think Frank said Alice had a bad fall.

I immediately thought of 'The Staircase' when you said that! (Please don't anyone mention it, as I haven't finished watching Smile).

I agree that Frank could easily be the girls' stepfather or they could just as easily be making it all up. I did get the impression when Cristoffer (sp?) and his mum moved in, they were the latest in a string of people Frank had tried to 'help'. I get the impression there's a bit more to his story than what we've heard so far, but maybe not.

HollowTalk · 27/06/2018 13:21

The fact is that those two sisters wouldn't be living on the streets if they had a good home to go to. Even if Frank wasn't responsible for them sleeping rough, someone similar is, and they have to do whatever they can to help themselves.

Melamin · 27/06/2018 15:27

Oh no! I have just realised that as I am going away on Friday that will mean I can't watch until Sunday ShockShockShock

BevBrook · 27/06/2018 15:41

My two DC are both on a camp on Friday. It is the first time they have both been away on the same night. Me and DH feel we ought to take advantage of this by going out to dinner or something. But really we want to stay in and watch The Bridge! The dilemma!

ScoobyGangMember · 27/06/2018 15:49

Go early BevBrook.

glamorousgrandmother · 27/06/2018 16:05

I'm going away for a long weekend so I'll miss the Bridge and the Handmaid's Tale. I'd better stay off those two threads until I catch up.

MuddlingMackem · 27/06/2018 16:22

@BevBrook, earlyish meal out and The Bridge taped to look forward to when you get home. :)

VanillaSugar · 27/06/2018 16:28

I'm with you! DS is away on a sleepover so we should go out and take advantage of the free babysitting (will stay in and watch the finale).
