Anyone else counting the hours 'til Friday? Saga banged up and stitched up for the murder of her evil mama; how will she cope? Come on Henrik, save our girl!

So, who is Douglas

I thought it was just me who had missed this vital information but nobody knows. He must hold the key to it all.

BlindyPeakers · 17/06/2018 09:21

Thank you I've found it now!
Phew

ScoobyGangMember · 17/06/2018 09:25

Slarty. Yes, yes and yes. I'd forgotten I had noticed those things. Going to really miss this, even though I can't really keep up. Will be interesting to see what else the writers work on.

ScoobyGangMember · 17/06/2018 09:27

That was to your 8.01 post Slarty!

YouStacey · 17/06/2018 09:46

The guardian recap is very good. On the other hand, I made the mistake of looking at the TV guide for next week and there's a spoiler in there Angry Not a major one but still annoying.

MrsFring · 17/06/2018 13:45

Assuming that Astrid is Henrik's surviving daughter then how about this; Henrik dies ( God forbid ) and Saga takes care of Astrid herself as she did with Jennifer. Everything goes back to the beginning and all that.

MrsFring interesting
Does anyone know if the theme tune was written for The Bridge or was it already available?

HollowTalk · 17/06/2018 14:43

Hollow Talk was from The Choir of Young Believers' debut album in 2008 - This is for the White in your Eyes and it was in The Bridge in 2011.

For me, the track makes the series.

HollowTalk · 17/06/2018 14:45

I think Saga taking care of Astrid would work if it was Henrik's dying wish. It would make her whole again. Hmmm that would be a great ending - a death scene with Henrik where Saga makes that promise (and you know she'd damn well stick to it, too!)

MrsFring · 17/06/2018 15:11

Although I think that Saga will be the one to go. It's the only way to comprehensively end The Bridge, no Saga no Bridge. Unless they both die? Noooo!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/06/2018 15:54

I honestly don't think Saga will die. The final scene will be her driving over the bridge back to Sweden, alone, to mirror the very first scene. (At least, it should if it really does all go back to the beginning).

glamorousgrandmother · 17/06/2018 17:43

I like that idea Mrs Fring.

anonymice · 17/06/2018 18:51

it depends how much the killer(s) know. If they realise Astrid is Henrik's daughter they will target her, and Saga would volunteer to die instead of her, I am sure.

YouStacey · 17/06/2018 19:25

Why did CCG whack Christopher at the grave? Is he really about to kill him? Shock

HollowTalk · 17/06/2018 20:40

I don't think Saga will die. It goes against everything that a heroine is all about. If someone kills her it means they're stronger than she is - impossible! If she committed suicide she would have lost faith in herself - that can't happen either.

I agree that I think she'll be last seen driving over the bridge, and I reckon Astrid will be beside her.

Only two more hours! I hope the scriptwriters are working on something new.

bibblegenie · 17/06/2018 23:14

Does anyone know what two types of death are left? Firing squad and ....?

bibblegenie · 17/06/2018 23:15

Also, when did Hans die?

bibblegenie · 17/06/2018 23:20

Just remembered - decapitation. But Hans? Or could Lilian count as the prosecutor’s loved one?

AlecOrAlonzo · 17/06/2018 23:30

@bibblegenie decapitation

Hans died before this series so he isn't part of this. That's why I think Lillian needs to have some other kind of "punishment".

Possible mastermind:

Kevin/Brian - not really in a wheelchair but instead dashing about killing folk in an elaborate revenge for his dad

Solveig the bad granny fairy - also revenge for Tommy

Niels the stoned woman's psychiatrist husband - mad? Wife hate?

Morgan the brother of the garage owner- obviously very dodgy

Commune bloke - v weird and creepy, possibly has killed before , dodgy about his "daughter "

Anyone else L

HollowTalk · 17/06/2018 23:48

But Alec, we're going "back to the beginning..." so we might be seeing the outcome of Hans' punishment. Decapitation is the normal punishment but cutting off a hand is also a punishment, though not an execution.

Arrrgh it's driving me nuts!

HollowTalk · 17/06/2018 23:49

What's so frustrating is knowing that in a couple of seconds we could learn the answer, just by Googling it. It's like being a child looking at the presents under the Christmas tree - they can sneak a look and spoil Christmas Day or not... it's up to them.

anonymice · 18/06/2018 11:23

changed my mind. I do not think either Henrik or Saga will survive. I suspect Lillian only has her work life left and so she does care about both Henrik and Saga and they will be targeted. I hope I am wrong.

HollowTalk · 18/06/2018 11:29

Oh no!

I am really worried that the director has said there won't be another series - it was said as though there couldn't be. Henrik could die and the series could survive (though good for them for ending it while people still want more) but it couldn't survive if Saga died.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 18/06/2018 11:40

Refuse to believe Saga will perish {wibble}.
