Apologies if there has already been an actual thread, I couldn't see one except for talking about the fact it was coming up.

Has any one watched yet? What did you think?

If I'm honest I might be a bit disappointed. The bit I found the most interesting was the fact that they were collecting DNA from park guests!

I liked the bit where they found the tiger, very polar bear/Lost esque! Obviously from another park but what is it doing there?

Can't wait to hear everyone's theories, I really enjoyed last year's thread about S1!

Silverstreaks I’m hoping for the same. He really seemed to feel for her and respect her as an individual before he had to leave the room.

Anasnake · 14/06/2018 16:38

Ake episode was incredible! I think him and Maeve communicating at the end is showing how they are developing a collective consciousness. Love the use of the Lakota language.

rumbelina · 19/06/2018 12:02

Where to begin!? I think I need to watch it again.....

bakingdemon · 19/06/2018 13:51

Is William at least part host? The way he reached for his forearm in that final scene...

Only one episode left this season! Trying to work out whether it will be Maeve or Bernard who will drive all the hosts into the lake. Or maybe some kind of Maeve/Bernard/Clementine mindmeld. Or - I just thought of this - were all those bodies in the lake actually the guest doubles being built in William's secret project and not hosts at all?

This episode was so bleak.

MonkeyNeedsABrushedSuede · 19/06/2018 15:26

I kind of got the impression that he is human but is so warped from the whole Westworld/maze/creating fake Jim Delos thing he thinks he's a host.

charlyn · 19/06/2018 15:57

I’m confused - was that Williams actual daughter or a host version? I might have to rewatch that episode as I wasn’t paying much attention!

MonkeyNeedsABrushedSuede · 19/06/2018 16:18

I think he thought and we were lead to believe that she was real. But when they were scanning her with the device it didn't complete and beep to say she was human.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 19/06/2018 20:20

Even I am very unsure on this episode. I’m hoping the next will tie some things together.

ToffeeUp · 20/06/2018 08:52

Caught up last night (football is getting in the way a bit) and I thought it was a good episode but a bit too drawn out.

Like monkey, I don't think William is a host, just that his mind is so blurred that he can't tell what is real and what isn't. I wonder if that was Robert's end game.
Not sure about the daughter but I think she is human. The music box was a nice touch

Poor Teddy.

A bleak episode leaving us viewers confused who/what is real and what isn't. We are part of the game........

bakingdemon · 24/06/2018 17:45

Just saw a trailer for the last episode on Instagram and now I'm so excited!

QuackPorridgeBacon · 25/06/2018 11:58

I have officially no idea what is going on really. It didn’t clear up as much as I wanted it to.

ParadiseLaundry · 25/06/2018 13:07

I agree, I still found the timelines confusing but now we seem to have a whole other world in which we'd have to try to keep up with in S3 as well as the different timelines which I bet they will still use.

I feel like they've gone too deep and think it will probably alienate casual viewers if I'm honest.

OP posts:
QuackPorridgeBacon · 25/06/2018 15:05

It just feels too sloppy and I don’t think I’ll make any effort to actually watch anymore series. But the curiosity in me is annoying because I probably will watch it just to see if anything does have an ending or explanation.

bakingdemon · 25/06/2018 21:50

I thought that the other world where they've sent a lot of the hosts is off limits? She basically beamed them up into space where they exist solely in virtual reality.

Whilst I do think they should have stopped at one series, this does set up some intriguing options for the next series. The two dopey technicians will clearly bring back Maeve and the rest of her team, and somehow they'll subvert the park. (I can't believe that Delos is even thinking of trying to reuse the hosts after all of that, but anyway.) And now there are at least three hosts - Charlotte/Dolores, Dolores and Bernard - in the real world, plus whoever the other brains are that Charlotte/Dolores brought out of the park. And the Hemsworth Brother clearly knows Hale is a host and yet let her go anyway, so will he be an ally?

bakingdemon · 25/06/2018 21:55

There's an after credits scene!

dingdongdigeridoo · 25/06/2018 23:03

I kinda thought I had it figured out until the post end credits scene. Agh!

ParadiseLaundry · 26/06/2018 07:24

I had no idea about the after credits scene! Was Ashley telling Charlotte Dolores that he was a host made by Ford years ago or did I imagine that?

OP posts:
ParadiseLaundry · 26/06/2018 07:31

@bakingdemon by other world I meant The Forge because you can see anyone's memories and they could be set anywhere. We could be watching a scene in there and not know it's not actually happening, but now you mention it, yes The Valley Beyond is also another world as I doubt that'll be the last time we see it.

Did anyone notice the name on the book Dolores was reading? Was it Karl somebody?

OP posts:
Snappedandfarted2018 · 26/06/2018 07:36

I got her impression the hemington brother was also a host to protect the other hosts and over see fords version for the park. I struggled with this series to be honest. Looked at the end credits his dd was a host and doing excately what William did to her grandfather in order to past a test.

ToffeeUp · 26/06/2018 08:16

I liked that episode and I liked that Bernard had a happy ending, being back home about to see his son again and Teddy is now free.

I also think Ashley is a host, designed to protect the other hosts.

Hale took quite a few 'brains' with her.

bakingdemon · 26/06/2018 09:20

@ParadiseLaundry the Guardian blog says the book was Karl Strand which is the name of the guy with the manicured beard who was aggressively questioning Bernard and who was shot by Hale (though I hadn't picked up his name at any point!)

I reckon the end credits scene is happening at some point in the future, to show that every iteration of William's life ends in violence. So i think that the version of his daughter he shot was a host, but maybe the one questioning him was real.

ToffeeUp · 26/06/2018 10:54

She did tell Ake that her plans for her dad were worse than death (or something like that)

rumbelina · 28/06/2018 06:04

I don’t understand how there are 2 Delores - original plus Hale. Did I miss something? It’s possible I lost concentration!

ParadiseLaundry · 28/06/2018 18:33

I was wondering that too @rumbelina. Did Bernard make another Dolores? But then how do they both have Dolores's brain?

OP posts:
captainpantbeard · 28/06/2018 20:16

I think Hale Dolores built/rebuilt Proper Dolores and transferred her personality ball into it so that she was the original once more. Then created a new host sidekick using replica Hale’s body.
