Apologies if there has already been an actual thread, I couldn't see one except for talking about the fact it was coming up.

Has any one watched yet? What did you think?

If I'm honest I might be a bit disappointed. The bit I found the most interesting was the fact that they were collecting DNA from park guests!

I liked the bit where they found the tiger, very polar bear/Lost esque! Obviously from another park but what is it doing there?

Can't wait to hear everyone's theories, I really enjoyed last year's thread about S1!

I agree HateSummer, I felt like we saw too many characters this episode and too much happened. I'm starting to get a bit lost too. I hope there is going to be a good payoff at the end of the season and it's all going to come together and be worth it!

@ToffeeUp I was wondering the same about the Spirit Nation - they're clearly not the violent thugs that their narrative has said and they seem to be trying to help people. I wonder if Ford programmed them to play that kind of role.

SporkInTheToaster · 29/05/2018 07:42

I’m watching it, reluctantly. The first series was good and made some sort of sense. This series is just, well, not. I’m about to give up on it, tbh.

berriesandcream21 · 29/05/2018 08:36

Bernard went into the cradle where all the hosts consciences are held. We saw at the end Ford was inside and it kept cutting back to the red ball Bernard printed. So he clearly had put Ford into the system and he is controlling the whole park now.

The other storylines were boring this week. Although I agree the ghost nation are not what they seem.

ToffeeUp · 05/06/2018 07:57

Hmmm a bit of a slow and disappointing episode. although I did like them uncovering all the Bernards, the Ford narrative just was too long,

ParadiseLaundry · 05/06/2018 12:06

I agree Toffee. I feel like they're really dragging it all out. I hope the last three episodes are mind blowing!

All the Bernards were good. Make me think of last season when there was speculation that there was more than one Dolores but it turned out to be different timelines.

Maybe this is the opposite and there are less timelines than we think and the Bernards all share collective memory?

Even I’m starting to just be baffled and notebjoying it as much. I’m not a quitter though lol I want to see more of William and ford/Bernard storyline is too scattered for my liking. I’ll keep with ittbiuvh to see what happens.

ToffeeUp · 05/06/2018 13:40

Yes that is what I was thinking. I wonder if that is the case if there are subtle differences in Bernard, I saw it mentioned online that apparently he has slightly different glasses.

HateSummer · 06/06/2018 03:16

I’m completely lost. I like the idea of all the Bernard’s sharing a collective memory.
I like how Dolores has her little army, but in all honesty, it’s all glitter and sparkles and no substance. I fell asleep watching it.

charlyn · 06/06/2018 11:17

I wish I’d paid more attention when I was watching past episodes because I’m totally confused about many things! I still don’t really understand the William character and what he is actually trying to do. I don’t understand who Jim Belos is either, don’t think I was paying attention that episode. Is he that guy that William met several times? I’m hoping it all comes together and I have an aha moment soon!

ParadiseLaundry · 06/06/2018 13:15

William AKA the Man in Black is trying to crack a 'puzzle' type game that Robert Ford left for him in the park before he died.

Jim Delos is Williams FIL, William was trying to replicate his consciousness and upload it into a host resembling him without much success, presumably with Delos's permission when he was alive.

I have been paying attention but suspect I don't know much more than you really Grin

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 06/06/2018 18:39

Jim Delos was a test person, they tried to put his mind/soul into a host body. They made some progress but it kept failing. That is why Ford is keeping his mind in cyber space. William took over as CEO and visited Jim ever so often

OwlinaTree · 11/06/2018 22:03

Anyone else really failing to enjoy series 2? I really enjoyed the first series but this series not so much.

bakingdemon · 12/06/2018 10:32

I loved the latest episode focusing on the Ghost Nation, best of the season so far.

rumbelina · 12/06/2018 10:44

I thought it was brilliant, baking. A whole new side to things!

bakingdemon · 12/06/2018 11:01

@rumbelina I loved the idea that there would be other hosts which woke up earlier - partly because Ford didn't really know what he was doing when he created the Native Americans with a bit of a sense of spirituality. I also wonder if placing them on the fringes of the park and making them a generic enemy was intended to deter the other hosts from straying because the tribe would be programmed to kill them. Only two episodes left now!

ParadiseLaundry · 12/06/2018 15:56

That makes sense, @bakingdemon.

@OwlinaTree I know what you mean, I am enjoying it though, but I think there have been some slow episodes in the season. A know a few people just starting to watch S1 and they've all said they've found it complicated and hard to follow. I should probably tell them to give up now as S2 is way more complicated!

I wonder how Ake's memories were only limited to living in the park and how he couldn't remember the real world and meeting Logan before?

Maybe there is something special about being an Alpha Two host, which presumably Dolores is as well. I wonder how old Meave is, although I feel she is different altogether from any other host.

Also! Did anyone notice the Grave marker with 'Dolores Abernathy' on? What was that about?! Shock

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 12/06/2018 21:49

Just watched it and I thought that was a great episode.

I didn't spot the grave marker.

ParadiseLaundry · 12/06/2018 21:59

@ToffeeUp it was when Ake was walking towards the church after the massacre the second time when she'd killed Ford. There was a graveyard of sorts with crosses.

OP posts:
ToffeeUp · 12/06/2018 22:36

Ah I was looking at other things and completely missed it, well spotted. No idea what it can mean.

Dolores, deathbringer

BeyondSceptical · 13/06/2018 10:19

Just watched it now, great episode.

Silverstreaks · 13/06/2018 15:03

Ake was so sweet. Poor guy turned completely upside down.

I noticed the gravestones - didn't make anything clear to me. Although that's pretty much standard at the moment. But I really enjoyed this episode and felt quite emotional.

Silverstreaks · 13/06/2018 15:06

Really hoping Lee will go all Rambo and get Maeve out of there. It's heartbreaking.

shiklah · 13/06/2018 19:09

I am so confused!

Watching the Ake episode I was trying to figure out the time line and am utterly lost!
