Westworld Season 2 (Spoilers)

Apologies if there has already been an actual thread, I couldn't see one except for talking about the fact it was coming up.

Has any one watched yet? What did you think?

If I'm honest I might be a bit disappointed. The bit I found the most interesting was the fact that they were collecting DNA from park guests!

I liked the bit where they found the tiger, very polar bear/Lost esque! Obviously from another park but what is it doing there?

Can't wait to hear everyone's theories, I really enjoyed last year's thread about S1!

I'm getting very confused and finding it hard to work out who's good and who's bad! Last series I really liked Dolores but now she seems a bit evil!

Kitsandkids Yes! I’m glad someone else has said it. I like her before and I liked her gaining intelligence and strength. What I don’t like is how pathetic she is coming across. I mean for god sake, she thinks she is bigger than she is. No thought to who will fix her if she breaks, if she is hit by a car then it’s all over. How will she survive in the outside world? She hasn’t thought any of it through and is suddenly very much “I deserve the planet more than humans” which is odd.

I'm not enjoying Dolores' storyline, but I loved the last episode purely cause of the Maeve half. Maeve is awesome. 😍

Dolores is annoying me now, she used to be my favourite character.
However I loved Shogun world! Maeve is becoming my new favourite. I loved the duplicate storyline over the two worlds too.

I loved the sneaky (very slow at first so I didn't notice it) rendition of Paint it black again. In fact, I rewound and watched the whole bit again - lucky as I didn't notice the butterfly first time!

I'm even tempted to compare it to the 'original' in WW and see how similar it is to that whole scene...

I like the way Dolores is changing, the sweet girl who saw beauty in this world is transforming into someone who is controlling the freedom of others. It is dark but intriguing. Poor Teddy.

Maeve rocks! Lee Sizemore was funny. And I loved that rendition of 'paint it black' and that whole scene.

I find Dolores way of speaking very irritating. And her bits really dull.

Love Maeve however - really enjoyed the parts she was in last night.

I will need to re-watch the beginning. When the Delos guys realised that many of the hosts had their memories wiped, the boss guy (Floki) said something about the game being played whilst looking at Bernard. Does he know Bernard is a host and that they are all playing Robert's game?

Dolores is a sick fuck. Doesn’t want people playing god over her but is happy for herself to play god.

I love the maeve storyline..I’m really trying to like the English script writer with her but he’s an annoying little shit and his lines are weird. Is he even English?

I like them showing the new worlds.

The girl also danced with a butterfly at the beginning. Maybe it's symbolic? A butterfly has evolved from a caterpillar. The hosts have evolved??

I'm glad I found a thread on this. I think Evan Rachel Wood who plays Delores is fantastic but her storyline is just quite boring and the character isn't really developing well.

I'm enjoying William's story as it's not clear if he's good or bad and Maeve's story line is great too. However, I fear I'm too going to have a 'Lost' moment as I'm becoming really confused about everything. I didn't realise Elsie knew that Bernard is a host. I don't think Charlotte knows he is but where is she?

I thought the butterfly was shaped like a maze like the one in west world. Maybe there’s something to be collected from each world to unlock the secret?

Elsie found out last week that Bernard is a host.

I watched the first episode of series 1 again just to see what it looked like knowing what I know now and there is a bit where Elsie kisses Clementine on the mouth while she's powered down - didn't remember that!

Also a bit where someone's talking about Dolores(?) being one of the first hosts and Ford says to Bernard casually "do you remember that, were you around back then?" (he says no).

And the first robbery by Hector and Armistice meant when I saw the most recent episode in Shogun World it was fresh in my mind and could really see the similarities.

I have no idea what's going on, really, but find it really gripping.

During the Dolores/Teddy sex scene, all I could think was "does she have to shave her legs or are the female hosts build with smooth legs?"

When the Delos guy was fretting about the hosts' minds being wiped, he said "a third of our intellectual property is gone" - meaning that it's their memories which are valuable, not the hosts themselves. As they've been showing us, Delos was clearly harvesting data on its guests. For what purpose, who knows so far?

Agree @HateSummer - the English guy is super irritating, but the actor is actually British.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds him irritating! I hope he grows on me, because his acting is quite crap atm.

I’ve been wondering about the starting sequence and what relevance the buffalo has? They had a horse for season 1 and everything is much darker now.

Next episode should be about William and his daughter?

Ooh I love it, you just can’t predict what’s going to happen next! Shogun world was brilliant although very violent. Loved that maeve can now control others hosts just by thinking.

Where has Bernard even gone?!

I don’t even understand this last episode. It was jumpy and weird. There’s nothing coming together. What did Dolores do to Teddy?
I’m really trying to enjoy it..the action is brilliant but the storyline is..shit. I really don’t want it to be.

I think Bernard has gone into the matrix, the core program.

Shogun world was brutal. I also think the ghost army has an important role to play, maybe linking in with the buffalo.
