Apologies if there has already been an actual thread, I couldn't see one except for talking about the fact it was coming up.

Has any one watched yet? What did you think?

If I'm honest I might be a bit disappointed. The bit I found the most interesting was the fact that they were collecting DNA from park guests!

I liked the bit where they found the tiger, very polar bear/Lost esque! Obviously from another park but what is it doing there?

Can't wait to hear everyone's theories, I really enjoyed last year's thread about S1!

I'm enjoying it but nowhere near as much as I did the previous series. Not sure what's missing from this one though.

For anyone who's interested, ALT SHIFT X are doing a recap of every episode on YouTube (they also do a GoT one, which is how I found them). They go over any detail that may have been missed and possible theories. It's actually quite helpful for keeping track.

If anyone signed up to the 'Delos Experience', the latest email is a little 'glitchy'.

Includes the chilling "The puppet show is over". In Hindi.

Alanrickman, going to watch that YouTube vid first chance I get! Thanks for sharing, I think that will be very useful.

Bowlof, I think you're right in that downloading consciousness is the ultimate goal. What's the point in creating essentially immortal 'robots' really? Wouldn't you think the technology would be be used to benefit humanity first?

Toffeeup, I didn't think the map was of any real significance, just where to find the tigers but I think you're right!

Ijusthadto, thanks for sharing, I love things like that that help you get immersed in the experience Grin

AlanRickman that video is great, thank you.

The Raj was very cool. I’m guessing the ninja type guys will be from Eastworld, and there will be some sort of futuristic park too.

The puzzle stuff is way too confusing for me. I went off Lost because it got too complicated and a bit silly, so hoping it won’t happen to Westworld.

ParadiseLaundry · 14/05/2018 17:56

Has anyone watched yet?

What a great episode! Although I'm pretty sure I'm going to having nightmares forever about Jim Delos 149 Sad I know I've said it before but it was definitely Lostesque at the beginning. Scottish bloke in a 1970's inspired room listening to records on his cycling machine!

You were right about William's daughter rumbelina Smile

When Elsie was trying to blow down the door and Bernard said something like 'you're not here' is that implying that that timeline is also not the current time? So the timeline where he killed the technicians is timeline 1, Elsie is timeline 2 and the present is ??.

I'm definitely going to rewatch this one.

I don't think I've ever been so confused in all my life 😂

So was the girl at the end who said "Hello Dad" the same one who escaped from Rajland closely followed by the Tiger??? Or was that someone else?

kinseymilhone · 14/05/2018 21:43

And I agree paradise the Jim Delos story was terrifying, I was literally on the edge of my seat not breathing for several minutes!

BeyondPink · 14/05/2018 21:54

Jim Delos freaked me out. Worried I’m going to have nightmares about him!! Did guess real Delos was already dead the first time we saw him though.

stripesandspots10 · 14/05/2018 21:54

I just posted a new thread as I didn't think there was One!
But yes the girl who said "hello dad" is the same girl that was in the raj and got tracked down by the tiger. How exciting!
Who do you think is in the little red ball Bernard has? My bet is on Ford!
Also I think Bernard can't be trusted as he hasn't scared his flashback to him killing the humans in the lab with her.
The Jim Delos story was brilliant, didn't see that coming them bringing him back. It just shows how the hosts could go rouge when they glitch and have conscious

stripesandspots10 · 14/05/2018 21:55

I meant shared not scared. Oops

stripesandspots10 · 14/05/2018 22:13

Also Williams "daughter" are we sure she's not a host? In the raj world she shot the man to check he was human. However we never saw anything to prove she was. I don't get why his daughter would come to the park if she really hates her dad that much. Just a thought

Silverstreaks · 14/05/2018 22:39

Could William be a host too? Maybe he was implanted with the red ball/consciousness. We don't know when Delos was 149th incarnation so years could have passed.

stripesandspots10 · 14/05/2018 22:51

Apparently I read on an article that people had seen the screens of the lab the dates when William last meets with Jim 149 and when Elsie logs on. Apparently there are 2 weeks between them so it's suggested after his last encounter with Jim he becomes the MIB. So not sure if he is a host

bakingdemon · 15/05/2018 11:19

I thought from the way the MiB talked last season that he'd been coming to the park for years, trying a different game each time, or just enjoying revisiting the characters he knows. He clearly knows quite a lot of their scripts from the way he talks to them.

I missed Dolores and Maeve in this episode.

BeyondPink · 15/05/2018 13:33

I have a question (that has probably been answered already and I missed it...)

If uploading real people's consciousness into host bodies is not yet viable (see Delos v.149), how come Bernard is - apart from shotgun injuries - working fine? Is there a difference (in their OS?), or is it just cause Ford did it himself and he knew how?

I spent a lot of last nights episode wondering if every single person in it - guest, staff and army - are all in host bodies Grin

bakingdemon · 15/05/2018 14:03

@BeyondPink I don't think Bernard is completely the same as Arnold though. He's based on Arnold, but not the same. He's also Ford's creation rather than William's, so maybe Ford didn't tell William he had done it.

stripesandspots10 · 15/05/2018 17:46

Also isn't Delores the oldest host in the park and she has consciousness. And when she was in the real world she did the same as Delos and rejected the reality as she went back to her set normal lines. Surely they must have cracked it with her and Bernard but just didn't tell William like you say.

ToffeeUp · 16/05/2018 08:03

That episode made some uncomfortable viewing, not just James Delos but also the railway scene and the hostage of the village people. Very intriguing though and I am left with lots more questions.

I am not sure how many timelines Bernard has going on. Was that room 12 was where he and Charlotte first went to and where he secretly injected himself?

ParadiseLaundry · 17/05/2018 20:04

Ahhhhh. Rewatching last weeks episode and just realised, William doesn't actually say that Logan is dead, which was what I had thought on first watching. He says

'Logan overdosed years ago... your wife's dead, Juliette's dead...'

Maybe he turned his life around and will pop up later!

Also where did the technology come from to make the hosts actually living? Is Host Jim Delos the first time we see him animatronic inside like Dolores was when Logan cut her open? Did Delos bring the new technology to the park?

Hope everyone's Jim Delos 149 nightmares haven't been too scary!

OP posts:
QuackPorridgeBacon · 20/05/2018 22:04

You know what baffles me. If Bernard is based on Arnold (I’m guessing his looks are based on Arnold too) then why has no one recognised him? Why has no one clocked that he looks identical to Arnold? Or is his story similar but he looks nothing like him? Wasn’t it Arnold that was shot by Delores? And he looked like Bernard, so why has no one put two and two together? Or am I missing something and just being seriously thick?

iheartmichellemallon · 20/05/2018 23:07

I have no idea what's going on at all. Not sure I'll stick with it much longer Confused

rumbelina · 21/05/2018 07:09

Quack - I thought it was because no one in present day had actually met Arnold as it was 25(?) years ago that he died.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 21/05/2018 10:03

rumbelina I did think of that, but seeing as he played a prominent role in creating the park or at least the hosts, surely there will be pictures? Maybe online or someone who is older would know?
