Anyone watched it? Not sure about it, but will watch next one. The affair with the sandwich woman got very irritating, all that humping and heaving! Also could not believe he would bring her to live at his house and put his own kids at risk, with her psycho partner around.

Thought this was excellent. Eccleston’s accent 90% plausible, just mispronounced the odd word like God and overdid the mother/ Maher bit. Agree that I will get upset if the teenage daughter ends up being the victim of violence next week but I guess these things do happen unfortunately in real life. Thought Kerri Quinn was outstanding as Brenna and I found her berating if the son as being boring and needing to take some drugs was actually unfortunately realistic too. The dad Greg is letting his need for sex and companionship override his protection of his children. I’m hooked.

Yes I wondered whether the 'can't breathe' comment was due to him being overbearing. I did find it strange though that in the conversations with 'I just don't understand why she left' she didn't just say 'because you were violent/lied about the vasectomy/were overbearing etc' if the pregnancy stick stabbing was due to some fake vasectomy although how she thought he'd had one with no stitches, scar or bruising is interesting...

I'm enjoying it. CE is completely gorgeous and I wouldn't mind going for a spin in his motor.

Just throwing this out there, but maybe she used to abuse him and he would be willing to put up with it just to have her back - she knows this so she won't come back so is just pushing him away ?
All that looking back he does is maybe just rose tinted glasses?

I think her being the abuser as well as leaving her children is too much of a stretch, personally. Do we think she is gay?

Really enjoyed this. Of course that woman he took home was awful, an obvious manipulator and her advise to the children just showed her up as the last thing the family needed. However, why did that mother leave? Yes, being a Lesbian was on the cards but it wasn’t enough to explain the abandonment of her children. Looking forward to the next episode.

If he had been abusive in any way, surely she would have taken the little girl with her, if not the other two?

I think he was controlling in some way, or did something terrible but has forgotten about it..

He punches her in face, threatens to assault her, she hits him with a hockey stick and legs it. Marie is in a taxi, and sees her running doen the road.

The teenage son is also the wrongly convicted Jacko in Ordeal By Innocence. He's having a good year!
