Anyone else watching this now?

OP posts:
Mintylemons · 06/03/2018 22:27

Tony lacking in neurons.

Naughtysausage · 06/03/2018 22:33

Ah mixing, she heard (?) me type it. I posted about 30 seconds before her clip. She went up in my estimation.

But I was too traumatised by Tony to comment until now. He brings back awful memories of an ex I'd still happily push off a cliff.

Lets face it anyone who participates in a programme like this is just there for their 5 minutes of fame. As if swapping partners for 2 weeks would help their relationship Hmm The only couple that seem slightly genuine are the rugby husband couple.

HeyBungalowBill · 06/03/2018 22:50

I've decided they've all just done it to ditch the kids for a couple of weeks Grin

Mixingitall · 06/03/2018 22:57

I hope Tony’s wife (name forgotten, how rude of me) gains back control and ditches him! He isn’t a man, he’s a self absorbed child!

Captivating indeed, like married at first sight, maybe those couples will be on this programme in a few years.... “he didn’t choose me” etc etc!

NerdyBird · 06/03/2018 23:00

which series is this? what channel? I thought I'd seen them all but the names aren't ringing bells

SomewhereontheM6 · 06/03/2018 23:22

Watched the US and Australian versions.

It's good actually. They get to see the horrible relationship habits that they and their partners have fallen into. It seems helpful to see what other people " expect" from marriage as a mirror for your own.
I worry about the rugby player. She seems to like him more than he likes her. Hopefully he will appreciate what he's got by the end but he seems bothered .
Tony is horrendous. She can do better. Run for those Thai hills love.

Naughtysausage · 06/03/2018 23:23

So I've taken Twitter too far and found Tony and Gemma - they're still together by the looks of it (his jacket is deffo sitting opposite her in her pic of breakfast from today).
Will back away from Twitter now.

MrsElvis · 07/03/2018 10:56

I've just started watching it, scrolling through comments thinking "No Tony's not gay he's just a big dandy" but as the programmes going on and he's discovered there's just one bedroom... I can see it!

Cottoneyed12 · 07/03/2018 12:42

There's an Australian version which was on demand on 'W' I think. It was great, really interesting. So far the British version doesn't seem as interesting but I'll be watching anyway.

ihatethecold · 07/03/2018 12:58

Found it fascinating to watch last night. The rugby player bloke has checked out emotionally from his relationship.

BringMeTea · 07/03/2018 14:35

Yeah the Aussie version is so much better... 2 series’ available on All4 people!
All the men are awful. Simon seems like he could improve. Tony is definitely gay and the other 2 are clowns. Can’t wait for next week! Grin

mrssunshinexxx · 07/03/2018 18:55

Following love programs like this will be interesting to see how it winds up

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 07/03/2018 19:16

Is the Aussie version called the same as uk version. I can't seem to find it

BringMeTea · 07/03/2018 20:17

Called Seven Year Switch Australia.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 07/03/2018 21:16

BringMeTea Thanks, so obvious Blush
Still can't find it on catch up though. Will keep an eye out for it.

Kinraddie · 07/03/2018 21:32

Just watched this tonight, enjoyed it. It's always fascinating to get an insight into other peoples relationships. Things do change after children, and the relationship needs to change and mature too - this doesn't seem to be happening for most of these couples. Agree, Tony is selfish and controlling. And the one bedroom thing is a bit inflammatory but I assume they do this in the other series? I mean, the villas aren't exactly small; I'm sure they have loads of rooms!

SkaPunkPrincess · 07/03/2018 21:36

Tony is a complete control freak. All he is worried about is losing his upper hand and everything s own way with his missus.

Mum2jenny · 07/03/2018 21:40

Tony seems to be a controlling numpty

Gay twat?? 🤔

desperatehousewife21 · 08/03/2018 13:45

Yes gay as in not straight and twat as in he’s horrible....? Hmm

Mum2jenny · 08/03/2018 20:26

Let's see what happens to Tony in the series, it should be worth watching
