I cant understand why I even think that Jay or Sharon have the money as surely both of them would tell Phil and sort it all out? true, last night Mel told Phil that it was newspapers and Ben doesen't have the bulk of the cash, so why try and trace Ben in Europe? unless Phil has an inkling that he might have gone to Portugal ( to see Uncle Grant maybe?) or someone in Spain, the Mitchells do tend to get around when they go off the square. Maybe he thinks that Ben does know who has the cash? They are gunning for Mick too, but i dont think he has it.

Why is Mel working for Ciara - Phil seems to know who she is from being friends with Aidan - he didnt even ask her ' how do you know her then?' did he, but then i am a nosy one over something like this and would ask all sorts of questions! criminals seem to have their own code. The Stacey/Martin thing is so irritating. They were happy(ish) and then she goes off with the ONE man that Martin has insecurities about. Then disappears with the kids. Then returns and admits she has seen Max in the meantime. Then basically says to (rightly pissed off) Martin, "If you can't forgive me for being an utter bitch and slapper, then you need to move out of the house and I'll stay here with the kids."

I'm going to go against everyone and say I think it was halfwit (can't remember his actual name! Half cost? Half something). He's been flashing the cash- coffees from the coffee shop and chicken at the chicken shop. He was involved in it all in the beginning as well wasn't he. And now Mick has confided in him that he doesn't have the money for the pub.... I really think I'm right!!

Halfwit (it is halfway?) is a good call, as is Bernie. I think Bernie is the one capable of pulling it off but Halfwit with his talk of cosmic ordering and cafe coffee is suspicious. I liked him and Whit in McKlunkeys - it was nice to see her having fun.
