Martin has always been a way better parent than stacey; really hope he doesn’t roll over and make life easy for her. She treats Martin like shit and even at her best she’s whiney with the kids and just seems to complain all the time. Why the hell she wanted another baby so soon after Arthur is a mystery. She doesn’t seem to enjoy them at all whereas Martin talks to them nicely and is always more upbeat. Would be nice if they dared to do a storyline where Martin ends up being main carer. Would also fit with the fact Rebecca wanted to live with him rather than dreary Sonia.

Did raise an eyebrow at Martin saying let’s have a day off. Was he planning on just going to work with a double buggy and kids be no trouble for 8h? Give or take also doing school run.

Whit should open a Nursery then have all the kids all day. Be interesting to see what do with Martin. Normally a woman becomes a single parent it’s her on with it. When a man does it takes the whole square on their door step with meals and clean washing and they still can’t cope after 48h.

If Hope is nursing, she switched to a bottle very quickly and how come they can formula and sterilizing equipment in the house to give her? No further mention of Arthur’s heart condition either. If Martin doesn’t cope, I’d be surprised if Kush and Carmel don’t take him. Did Carmel lose her job in the council in the end? So she is unemployed and available? But a court can’t separate a newborn from her mum surely? Don’t they even allow newborns to grow up in a prison environment with their jailed mums rather than separate them and break the bond?

I am guessing that Keegan and Bernie are in the same school year, but 11 months apart in age. My boys are, but they are Dec/Nov babies so in separate school years, but I taught girls who were Sept/August babies and in the same year despite being nearly a year different in age.

Martin seems unhinged. Although obviously I feel sorry for him that Stacey cheated, he cannot take her children and lock them in the house. And he has no right to lock her out either. The police would clearly have been called in most situations like this. LOL @ the notion that Stacey hitting Martin was domestic abuse - she's about a third of the size of him and he called her a slapper so she was definitely provoked.

I wonder if it will go along the lines of Martin trying to paint Stacey as an unfit mother due to bipolar. I hope not as they did a lot of good raising awareness after Arthur was born

Violence is never acceptable, the fact that Stacey the slapper was provoked into violence is neither here nor there. The portrayal of women being violent in soaps is always downplayed.

It is probably one of those stories in EE that even the writers don’t know who has it and it will turn out to be somebody totally random like Kim or Halfwit.
