Silent Witness ......is it me?

2 hours of silent witness. Followed about 50% of it. Pivotal discussions between lead cast members unintelligible. Couldn't follow it by the end. Is it me?

Have given up on Silent Witness which is a shame because it used to be great. Scriptwriters have forgotten that drama is about a great STORY not showing how clever and convoluted they can make the script.

Hoppinggreen · 06/02/2018 08:02

So the dead guy in the car is an undercover cop I’m thinking?
Don’t think the Missing Dad actually did it as the girl said “it was Dads fault” not that he did it. She also said “they were best friends” which might be referring to the killer.
It’s really really shit and improbable and yet I still watch it - and come on here to discuss it

brownelephant · 06/02/2018 08:05

my money is on sunglasses woman & the bad cop

Zampa · 06/02/2018 08:06

Mum's friend was totally the woman who left the lipstick on the pillow. She looked very shifty when the Mum was asked for a DNA sample.

SweetestThing · 06/02/2018 11:45

Someone asked Liz Carr on Twitter when they filmed the Christmas episode that was shown last night and she replied that it was October/November.

maddiemookins16mum · 06/02/2018 12:31

I just have a feeling that Jack might be in some danger! My Spideysenses were alerted about 9.57pm last night.

Oh and yes, the Mum's 'friend' is clearly in on it (and the dodgy copper).

Elendon · 06/02/2018 13:13

I really liked this episode and cannot wait until tonight - it was incredibly tense but I did wonder why the response team didn't get a bloody move on. Obviously the DCI is involved somehow. The friend of the mum may well be involved but I think she had nothing to do with the murders. I just love Tanya Franks. She was brilliant in Pulling.

The shooting/death of Bluebell will be significant.

I thought the story line was very good, especially regarding relationships.

Of course it's in late autumn, the ferns are all brown.

I really don't understand the vitriol regarding Silent Witness. It has good characters.

Elendon · 06/02/2018 13:26

This is the start of one of my favourite episodes of Pulling, just the start.

BashStreetKid · 06/02/2018 13:50

Does anyone remember the DCI when they came across him previously? Was he dodgy then?

TheSpottedZebra · 06/02/2018 14:03

Elendon if you can't wait until tonight, you will be disappointed. As you have to wait until Weds! Football on tonight instead Sad

TonTonMacoute · 06/02/2018 17:18

Nicki is so bloody irritating! Was I the only one who was hoping she'd get shot in the woods?

Definitely not just you. DS and I were shouting ‘For gods sake shoot her!’ at the tv.

Autumnchill · 06/02/2018 17:28

Did no one pick up on the fact that the DCI tells them his new boss is just arriving so can they wait for me,my hey don't and considering the boss is just round the corner, they cover off the forensics in the pick up, the dead man, the dead girl, the office and manage to find information and also in the girls bedroom, and then, the boss arrives from just round the corner!

They're worth they're money if they move that fast Grin

Autumnchill · 06/02/2018 17:31

Terrible! Their not they're!

And can someone settle an argument. Husband says how did the horse get hit from that distance (he thinks the bullets going off in the pick up hit Bluebell) whereas I say it happened earlier.

What do you think, stray bullet over that distance through the trees or earlier?

Hoppinggreen · 06/02/2018 17:54

I think the horse was deliberately shot
The girl might have tried to escape down there or she might have been there already when the gunman shot her.

LuckyLuckyWoman · 06/02/2018 19:50

anyone know when part two is on? Football tonight:(

MyGuideJools · 06/02/2018 19:55

luckywoman It's on tomorrow

WipsGlitter · 06/02/2018 20:05

I nearly came on here last night about this. Nikki is so fucking irresponsible it's maddening. I don't care about their back stories / personal lives either. It used to be so good; about how they used the techniques to solve crime - plot driven. Now it's all character driven.

Violent Shitness indeed.

GnotherGnu · 06/02/2018 23:26

It wasn't the DCI's new boss, was it? I thought it was the SOCO.

I think the horse was shot earlier.

BlindLemonAlley · 07/02/2018 19:48

Looking forward to tonight’s episode, let’s see if Nikki can trump her weirdness on Monday night. Aimlessly running around a crime scene and off into the woods with a potential gunman on the loose while everyone else took cover was just bizarreHmm

Autumnchill · 07/02/2018 20:31

General consensus in the office was 'for the love of God, someone shoot her!'

We can live in hope at 9pm

WipsGlitter · 07/02/2018 20:50

Apparently there's a massive shock ending.

SouthWestmom · 07/02/2018 20:55

What the daughter did it?

WipsGlitter · 07/02/2018 20:57

No something to do with one of their team.

SouthWestmom · 07/02/2018 21:33

Oh right.

Can't get into it, the new cinematography is hilarious

Putkettleonlove · 07/02/2018 21:56

Absolute crock of crap
