It's that Homeland time of year again

It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

No - sorry I meant the thread when it was on previously on c4 (this time last year maybe??) I know there was a long thread people posted on as they were watching.

I'm that sad I'd like to watch TV and read about it at the same time!

I foolishly booked tickets (months ago) for a family event for Sunday evening Hmm stupid stupid stupid. I should have known to keep Sundays clear!

I’ve just realised it’s on RTE2 on Thursday night. But I will resist and watch with the thread. Or slightly later

Hello. Newby here. I only discovered the joy that is homeland this January. I've just finished season 6 at the weekend so I was overjoyed to realise I've timed it perfectly Grin

Not sure how I'll cope with one episode a week after such a major binge but I will just have to.

So what's the theory about Saul? I thought there was something fishy about him!

He's bad Donald. Its as plain as the nose on everyones face but they are in denial. Just because he is the king of snacks.
Admittedly I thought it would have came out by now and I had a wobbly at the beginning of the last series but I am steadfast in my belief again.

My outlandish theory is that Brody is going to turn up alive. It might be wishful thinking rather than any fact.

Apologies if this has been covered in previous threads. I might have to go and read them all from the beginning to occupy myself this week!

I have a little tiny sliver of hope left in my heart that Brodie is still alive but it shrinks with every passing season. I think I will have to accept he is gone eventually.

Series 2. Saul visited terrorist Aileen Morgan in her max security prison. 23 hours solitary. No window. She has really bad eyes and not allowed lenses or glasses. Can't even read and is in despair.

Saul brings her snacks, baguette cheese small bottle of wine. In a room with a window. Makes a deal with her. Identify someone and get a room with a window. Gives her his spare glasses while he leaves the room to clear the deal with the AG. Returns to find she's killed herself with the lenses from the glasses.

I've stopped watching trailers. Yesterday though I saw that the streaming site I use has the first Homeland episode up.

Keep reminding myself it's more fun to watch at the same pace as the thread. Plus the snack sharing. Currently have a thing for very salty cheese straws.
