It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

No the guard didn’t touch his bum I thought - just shone a light up there. But he did touch his tongue with those gloves he was so carefully removing.

I watched an episode of Scandal today where a character got the old strip search treatment, I’ll be honest it’s a bit much for one day.

I’m wondering if someone has set president up. She publically said she thought he should be executed. Okeefe put his own spin on that in his broadcast saying she wanted him to face a firing squad. I think someone has killed the general to frame her.

Oh good theory - yes, it is all a bit too obvious for Madame President to have made the call herself. She's not that stupid. The general was the sacrificial lamb.

We couldn't really tell what they did to his nether orifice - the guard was standing such that we could not see the nearness of the approach. Which leaves both plot devices open (would tox tests cover spread from rectum? They do include stomach contents) and the great American viewing public unoffended. Sight of a bum being so much worse than the hangings, shootings, stabbings etc...

Just chipping in here! I reminded back on the General getting strip searched- at the end of the search, the General looks like he is swallowing- like swallowing a tablet? So maybe it was arranged beforehand? I get too wrapped up in Homeland!
