It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

I knew someone was going to grab Max and I still jumped Shock

Travelledtheworld · 01/04/2018 21:22

So worried for Frannie now.

Hassled · 01/04/2018 21:57

Carrie really does deserve the World's Shittest Parent award.

Oh dear lord - what is she like? This is mad even by Carrie at her maddest standards.

FFS Carrie!! That poor kid. Just leave her at home with Maggie.

Can someone explain to me the significance of th words the president was focusing on in the resignation letter. The “true feelings” “means nothing to me” “relationship of convenience” stuff and why the president had such an issue with them when she spoke to wellyboot? What did they mean?

iheartmichellemallon · 01/04/2018 22:11

I assumed they meant that he had feelings for the President (& presumably thought she had feelings for him too, so wanted her to know that the spy meant nothing to him).

Agree re Carrie - truly shit mum. Why not leave Frannie with her sister??

ZilphasHatpin · 01/04/2018 22:15

Thanks, that’s what I thought they meant but wasn’t sure.

Whichoneisit · 01/04/2018 22:16

What the hell was carrie thinking? Maybe that she had no other option? Was Dante about to throttle her?

Cocolepew · 01/04/2018 22:20

What the hell was she thinking?
Carrie makes me yell at the telly.
They didn't even let Dante put pants on.

Paleshelter · 01/04/2018 22:22

Dante comes across as very charming and convincing, so he obviously has a grudge against Carrie. Saul's look at Carrie at the end!!

NellMangel · 01/04/2018 22:25

Good episode.

Carrie's becoming pretty unlikeable. What a work bore AND she's not even getting paid. It's just an expensive mad hobby. Surely a private security place like that German one would snap her up.

Also how come her hair looks fab after an all nighter?

NellMangel · 01/04/2018 22:26

I thought Dante was going to attack her sister. I was really worried for her.

ZilphasHatpin · 01/04/2018 22:28

Saul's look at Carrie at the end!!

If he was your dad he would be the best in the world at “I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed” all done in a look. Grin

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 01/04/2018 22:28

I wonder what she was going to say to Dante just before Saul's boys burst in. I reckon the sister will be applying for custody of Franny soon. She is short of a child after all.

keepondreaming · 01/04/2018 22:32

Did Carrie say to Fante she had 2 nieces? Can't remember if her sister had 2 daughter.

And yes, I think David and Madam Pres have a "thing", not sure if it's been in the past/current or if they're just in love from afar.

HalleLouja · 01/04/2018 22:49

When one look says a thousand words.... The Saul Stare (TM).

Carrie made me really cross tonight. Well crosser than usual. Poor Franny. She shagged him to protect herself. Remember the poor guy a few seasons ago that she shagged and he got killed. I can't remember his name but when she starts shagging people its a sure sign something bad is going to happen. Or even just wanting to shag her. RIP Quinn.

Poor Max he needs to start saying no to Carrie.

ZilphasHatpin · 01/04/2018 23:04

Did Carrie say to Fante she had 2 nieces? Can't remember if her sister had 2 daughter.

Yes. She does have two nieces although for some reason one of them has been completely left out of this season. No idea why. No mention of her.

Travelledtheworld · 01/04/2018 23:07

All credit to Clair Danes, given that she is one of the producers of this show, and she allows herself to play such an unlikeable lead character.

ZilphasHatpin · 01/04/2018 23:24

Yes, she clearly “knows” the character so well and knows this is exactly how Carrie would behave. Fair play to her. I always think it’s a testament to an actor when they can be so unlikeable as their character. She plays the part brilliantly. It must be tempting to play down the unlikeable characteristics.

Have we heard any mention of Dar Adul in this season?

EachandEveryone · 01/04/2018 23:24

Thought from day one Ken Barlow was with the presudent. I thought they were married! So, is Dante deffo bad then?

Travelledtheworld · 01/04/2018 23:36

Yes, what DID happen to the sinister Dar Adul ?

NellMangel · 02/04/2018 00:08

Dar is in prison isn't he?

Dante looks like Jude Law playing a Spanish waiter who's had a mild allergic reaction.

ZilphasHatpin · 02/04/2018 00:14

Yes I think he is in prison but I kind of expected him to actually appear in this season or at very least Be mentioned. Perhaps Saul will have to visit him for information on the Russians.

Lweji · 02/04/2018 00:32

I can finally let it out.
Of all the people in the whole world, of all the places, why take your child to Dante's? Even for Carrie, that was too much to be credible.

Fiderer · 02/04/2018 09:06

Am fed up of the Carrie/sister rows. Dragging out Franny like that Hmm And shagging Dante Hmm

At least we didn't see more of him in the gloom. Ever since someone on this thread mentioned his bulging eyes that's all I see now, v pleased I saw nothing else bulging.
