It's that Homeland time of year again

It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

@Lweji we don't know... nobody except Dante seems to be actually employed in Carries 'team'

TheSpottedZebra · 26/03/2018 20:03

Fixed it for you Coco

It's that Homeland time of year again
Cocolepew · 26/03/2018 20:05

😐

Cocolepew · 26/03/2018 20:06

I do like the added Saul Snacks™ tbh.

TheSpottedZebra · 26/03/2018 20:07

But look - if you enbiggen the picture, you will see that he has secreted away some SaulSnacks.
So that's nice.

TheSpottedZebra · 26/03/2018 20:07

Cross post.

You found them! Truly, you are a super sleuth.

Going to rewatch last night's episode and give it my full attention. Homeland often leaves me as confused as hell but there is one thing I know and that is constant... Saul is GOOD!

FoolandFitz · 27/03/2018 18:37

Loved the show - proper exciting stuff. Dante being a baddie came out of nowhere for me and I was totally blindsided. That's why Saul is ex-CIA and I am not. Of course, when you look back it all makes sense eg his ex having bipolar? Too convenient. Love the way the CIA are all trustworthy and the one FBI is dodgy Grin Although all of the CIA in Carrie's gang are ex-CIA I suppose for one reason or another eg drink etc I do like that character that lives in a caravan.

Totally Carrie too when Saul told her to lay low, don't contact Dante and what does she do? Invites him out, flirts and snogs him and drugs him. Grin What I want to know is if Dante really wanted to be flirted with or it's part of his job to keep Carrie onside? I suspect the latter.

extinctspecies · 27/03/2018 18:42

I'll just say this again. We don't know for sure that Dante is the bad guy.

Maybe he has been set up ....

Lweji · 27/03/2018 20:06

Maybe Wellington is double bluffing and he's guilty all along.

But not Saul. No.

Hassled · 27/03/2018 22:22

I like Dante and I want to believe Saul is, on this one occasion, wrong. Actually he's been wrong before - he was wrong about his wife when she was shagging someone iffy. He is undoubtedly good, but he can also be wrong.

If Saul hadn't been dicking around buying snacks Chinese takeaway for his team he might have made it to the docks in time to save Ivan!

FoolandFitz · 28/03/2018 07:43

Well, Carrie is in very serious trouble if Dante is not dodgy (or even if he is dodgy tbf). She is still acting like a spy but she is just a regular citizen. The people around her "God, Carrie" but no one has tried to stop her. That's what I don't get.

Lweji · 28/03/2018 08:33

Max is the worst enabler.
He is too quiet. He could be the mastermind here.Shock

Fiderer · 28/03/2018 10:00

I like the Scooby gang although I wonder how she pays them. Maybe they're doing it as a favour.

I reckon Dante is a baddie. Too convenient as Saul said that he approached her just after she lost her job. And imo that he ex happened to be bipolar.

Wonder how she ran up so much debt? She was busy working at that legal place last season. Then had briefly a job with Keane. Lives with her sister. What's she been doing in 3 months (?) to run up debts of $30,000 (?) Plus she must get some sort of pension from her years at the CIA. Unless the debts are a plot move.

Lweji · 28/03/2018 10:03

Plus she must get some sort of pension from her years at the CIA

Only if she retired after her 50th. See recent news.

Fiderer · 28/03/2018 11:56

McCabe? True. That was vindictive. Remember reading it's 20 years active service then possible early retirement at 50. Carrie'll be hopping around with a walking stick saving the world at 85.

beguilingeyes · 29/03/2018 09:49

''Caravan guy is James D'arcey (sp?) ''

Watch him in Master and Commander. Young, pony-tailed and hot in white britches...sigh.

FoolandFitz · 31/03/2018 12:35

Thanks for the name beguilingeyes He's been in loads of things, none of which I have watched (Dunkirk, Broadchurch, Agent Carter).

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 31/03/2018 13:54

I've just spotted Ivan in Jonny English Reborn. He's the oligarch golfer, who they end up singing 'Don't give up on us baby' to, in the helicopter.

Hassled · 01/04/2018 20:49

The Scooby Gang :o. Who are they? How do they pay their bills? Have they had acting lessons because that bar "let's pretend to get drunk" scene was top notch?

Anyway, Happy Easter, Homelanders! May all your Saul Snacks be made of chocolate.

Signing in. No Saul snacks for me tonight, I’ve had far too many Easter eggs.

How many episodes are left?

ZilphasHatpin · 01/04/2018 21:08

I love Saul’s hard stare. “Can I come in?” = I’m not asking Grin

Travelledtheworld · 01/04/2018 21:09

Signing in and snuggling down. My Saul Snacks are half a Lindor egg.
