It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

Whose the actor playing the caravan guy? We haven't seen him on Homeland before have we but sounds like he and Carrie have "history".

I'm horribly confused. Why did Asian woman not mention her new money problems and just shag Wilkinson instead? Does this mean Wilkinson isn't involved in the pay off to kill the general? Is his name even Wilkinson or have I made that up?

So I’m guessing she sussed she was being followed/bugged. Went to wellyboot to make them think he was involved, deliberately left bag in the car because she knew the whole bag drop trick was to plant a bug. He isn’t involved. Someone else arranged McClendon’s death. I reckon someone on O’keefe’s “side” but not O’keefe. Someone much more dangerous than him. Wellyboot being set up?

Carrie got 'made'. That's what I reckon. She recognised her and so she's giving David the heads up discreetly, knowing the house might be bugged. No way she left her bag in the uber on purpose.

Yes, she must have known about/guessed there was a bug. People know when they've left a bag in an Uber - usually within about 15 seconds - so it was left deliberately. So she's had some training - she knows what's what.

If she left her bag in the Uber deliberately then surely she would have told David, thinking it was safe to speak freely? So don't think he's involved think she's working for someone else (Russians?). I noticed how Saul clocked the cigarette packet - was it a foreign (Russian) brand maybe?

Leaving it in place ties up Carrie's time and effort on a red herring. Son of Ken doesn't report it because he is a baddie.

Ivan is only alive because the he continues to play both ends against the middle, and so is working for the Russians (as pact to avoid being assassinated as a traitor), perhaps starting with being commissioned br Dar (who thought he could run a black op against Mme President Elect, but he lost control - perhaps because key parts of it were hauled off and magnified ny the Russians)

I assumed she left her bag in the Uber deliberately to set David up - circumstances appeared to show him in on it & that's certainly what FBI guy thought. If Carrie didn't have his place bugged, then she'd believe that too.

I hope Carrie gets more "proper" spy work to do. I like it when it's all wig changes and walking fast through cafés/markets etc.

I miss Quinn though, he'd have sorted it all out by now.
