New year, new thread! Looking forward to tonight's episode ...

We were speculating about her being pregnant before Raph turned up dead though. The hints in the Triplet scenes couldn’t have been more obvious (if it turns out to be the case, otherwise they were obvious misleading bits!). It would be ridiculous though given they are both infertile.

See I never felt the 'triplet stuff' was hinting about Essie being pregnant. I got the impression it was meant to convey some spooky feelings but I thought it was just meant to be adding to the eerieness of Essie's "bad feeling" that she said she kept having. (which then turned out to be that a gunman was about to rock up)

It was the way they kept ramming home the fact that the mother didn’t know about the triplet. Essie kept muttering abiut her not knowing about the baby or something.

Caught up last night. Still at the point where i dont care about any of it and am only watching because it's a longstanding habit. Not interested in the prison story or Jac clashing with yet another person.

I didn’t really enjoy this week. It seems to have lost his way. Is Connie going to be a patient in Darwin?

Still somewhat frustrated by patchy stories - quite a few odds and ends going on tonight but not much 'follow through' in some ways. Irritating!

Does anyone else get really annoyed by Donna?

Not Donna but Nicky -who is really Libbby from Eastenders pretending to be a doctor.

Much as I like Donna as a character, she (and Essie, to a certain extent) does act as though she's much more important than she is. I know we haven't seen Heavenly Henrik for a while, but I don't think she's being appointed Acting CEO, has she?

That what annoys me Donna - she does act like she runs the hospital!!

Yes to Donna acting like she's CEO, knocking on Sacha's door and then barging in without waiting for a response when he was counselling Nicky

I think Essie is just overly caring and good at her job. Donna is just irritating - I’m hoping it gets proved she stuffed up and not Ric.

I'm hanging in there with Holby because I've been watching a long time & I'm loyal like that, but man alive, it's dull dull DULL at the moment! And even the action they are including is so full of holes - I know it often is, but when the storyline is good you can just go with it.
I got so annoyed last night with Essie just seemingly abandoning all her ward duties to become the selection committee for the Prof's trial. And WHY would they take Ollie down to AAU, taking up the scarce resource of the side room?!
I'm liking the Jac-Petrenko show, and the way Fletch talks to Jac. That's about it at the moment...

The programme gets more ridiculous. Ollie giving professional advice just days after coming out of a medically induced coma? Jac back to normal after the fastest recovery ever from a near fatal gunshot wound. If only all treatment and physical therapy was so effective! Why was Raf’s record collection brought to the hospital and not sent to Fletch’s house?!

And don’t get me started on Donna, she’s truly annoying and I still feel like she’s got a real cheek acting so bothered about Ric when she’s the reason he’s in prison!

I don’t think there are any characters I am bothered about anymore so just watching out of habit.

They should make it the Fletch in a waist coat Jac Petrenko show.

Dofty is fine but Dom is more annoying without Arthur or Zosia around

I don’t think Holby Time is the same as GMT. I think more time has passed than it seems (Connie over on Casualty seems to have gone into a fast forward time warp)

Nicky needs to work on her voice. That little girl sound doesn’t scream Professional and Competent Doctor to me.

Nicky is definitely annoying and yes Dom needs someone to bounce off like Zosia or Arthur. Some to show his best side off.

Jason is back. He gave Essie a sweet.

Definitely squish with Lofty. Hopefully Serena is back soon. The actress who plays her is campaigning so that her train to work isn't stopped going forwards.

I agree with those ppl saying about Donna and Nicky, they are really annoying. Can't stand Sasha either, far too wet and . . . nice! Like Dom but not with Lofty, don't like the Lofty character, didn't like him in Casualty. Fletch has completely changed, do you remember what he was like in Casualty? He was a proper a**hole, he had an affair with Tess and didn't appear to be very nice at all.
Like Jac, like Petrenko, like Ollie's eyes (lol) but not his hairy feet! Don't like the Ollie character but liked him with Zosia. Really liked Zosia, love Ric, he's one of the few ones left, a proper layered character that they haven't messed about with (yet) Not enough of Hansen.

You're right, camping - Sasha has become a real doormat. He used to be nice but firm in his guidance of junior doctors. Now he's a pushover, whether it's with his professional or personal life. What happened to the man?
