Starting to think we should take it in turns to watch Casualty and Holby and feedback whether it’s sorth everyone else watching.

Really bad in bothat the moment. Dylan and Hannssen were the best ones.

AllButterShortbread · 25/01/2018 14:31

True. Sad times. Although as long as Fletch and Jac are in Holby I’ll be happy. There’s nobody in Casualty that I really care about apart from Dylan. I would like Ethan more if he wasn’t so dithery.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/01/2018 17:16

I basically read your reviews and then decide how much attention its getting

Optimist1 · 25/01/2018 19:15

Did anyone else feel that Ollie's progress appears to have reversed? A couple of weeks ago he was recognising some colleagues and remembering enough medicine to give a professional nudge to Libby-from-Eastenders with a diagnosis. This week he was looking blankly at pictures of people who featured heavily in his life. Hmm

they'll have to lose some parking spaces soon to make room for the memorials to dead doctors
This literally made me lol!

And yes Ollie has totally regressed. Perhaps there's some kind of twisted reverse correlation between his recovery and Jac' s.

Solo · 26/01/2018 00:33

I think Ollie or Jac will die.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/01/2018 00:56

Not Jac

MyOtherProfile · 26/01/2018 04:15

Die? How come? Can they spare another parking space?

SoupDragon · 26/01/2018 07:45

Yes! It’s like the episodes were out of sequence.

I don’t think anyone else will die but there’s a good chance Ollie will ever practice medicine again and Jaq will quit. She was ready to quit before she got shot after all.

MissSueFlay · 26/01/2018 08:08

Maybe an intern dropped a whole load of episodes and now they're being shown in the wrong order. It would explain a lot.

SleepingStandingUp · 26/01/2018 11:19

Jac needs to kiss Fletch

QueenofmyPrinces · 26/01/2018 14:18

What do you think the significance is of them scripting that Ollie’s brain waves only reacted to the photo of HH and nobody else.

Why would they choose HH? I initially thought it was to bring in Ollie having flashbacks as his brain recognises that in some way there is a connection between HH and the shooting but then it all tailed off.

SoupDragon · 26/01/2018 14:21

I think it is the connection between HH and Frederik too.

Whilst there is the possibility Ollie will be back on his hairy hobbit feet and operating next week, there may be more of his rehabilitation storyline to come!

QueenofmyPrinces · 26/01/2018 14:23

I actually don’t like his character anymore. I know he’s had a brain injury but he’s a bit of a rude twat now.

I want the original Ollie back!!

AllButterShortbread · 26/01/2018 14:51

I think Ollie will somehow see a pic of Fredrick and have an almighty brain-exploding flashback and he’ll be ok after that.

Optimist1 · 26/01/2018 18:57

To me, Queen, the original Ollie was the shifty F1 who cheated in his exams and was unpleasant to his twin (whose name escapes me) so I really disliked him then. He went away then came back resolved to redeem himself to all at HC and to me and appeared to have changed for the better. I guess the scriptwriters are trying to convey just how severe his injury is by making him a rude twat now? Enough already - I would even forgive a miraculous recovery like Shortbread proposes! Grin

QueenofmyPrinces · 26/01/2018 19:01

His sister was called Penny!! Grin
He was asking for her when they took him out of his coma.

I can vaguely remember her being in the and if I recall didn’t Ollie steal her exam results or something? I have forgotten how she died though so I’m off to Google it Grin

Solo · 26/01/2018 23:08

YES! Jac definitely needs to snog Fletch before she dies

StarBarRaRa · 27/01/2018 21:53

Exactly how many staff deaths have there been in holby over the last few years? It's waaaaay higher than average. Must be something in the water. Not a good place to work unless you want to cut your life expectancy.

MyOtherProfile · 27/01/2018 22:02

Yeah I reckon it's more dangerous to be a doctor in Holby than to live in midsomer.

Solo · 27/01/2018 23:58

Exactly!

SoupDragon · 28/01/2018 08:52

To be fair, it would be a fairly dull programme if they went for realism. :)

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 29/01/2018 12:05

I'm struck that Essie has been drooping all over the place about Raf, who she was married to for 90 seconds, but poor Roxana lost her husband of many years, and it hasn't even been mentioned.

AllButterShortbread · 29/01/2018 12:36

Yes!! I said the same thing last week when we were watching!

SleepingStandingUp · 29/01/2018 13:09

This week definitely seemed out of time. From recalling people and cases to no idea who anyone is.

Yy to Roxanna

WHY wasn't Fletch in it? Speech or consoling Essie or snogging Jac?
