So far so good... seems to be trying to be Scott & Bailey, which could be a good thing

OP posts:
Arronsmissus · 13/12/2017 22:00

OMFG.

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 22:00

Did she do that as a distraction ??

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 22:01

She’s doing well. Sowing seeds of doubt everywhere.
But did Joe not notice they were trashing the place ?

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 22:06

Battleax you know itv plateau does live tv too right ? Is it it live TV you are looking to avoid ?!

Autumnchill · 13/12/2017 22:11

Just watched all three episodes and the first thing my husband says as she's walking down the street and Adamski is playing and a train goes across the background......'well that's wrong, they didn't have TOCs (train operating companies) back then'

The Nerd 😀

Clawdy · 13/12/2017 22:17

Joe had just left the room and there's a violent noisy scene with smashed glass that moves into the hall! Where on earth was he?

Cocolepew · 13/12/2017 22:18

Why did she petrol bomb the flat? Confused

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 22:18

In answer to both questions ...fuck knows.

LineyRunner · 13/12/2017 22:20

How on earth did Joe not hear that palaver going on? He'd only just left the room.

LineyRunner · 13/12/2017 22:21

I think she bombed the flat to discredit forensic woman.

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 22:25

Hmmm. Maybe that’s it.

Wonder how they will get her in the end ? Or maybe Joe will work it out. Doubt it though as he couldn’t hear his mum having a scrap is his own kitchen Hmm

Janus · 13/12/2017 22:36

Ridiculous again! World war 3 going on in the kitchen and Joe hears nothing. And why is he and Stevens like an old married couple when they’ve only just seen each other a couple of times.
Who knows why she torched the flat but she’s just a lunatic.

LineyRunner · 13/12/2017 22:49

After the flat torching, there will be an investigation into 'the leak' and Bancroft will say that forensic woman confided in her about knowing the arrangements, visiting the flat, etc. Therefore, forensic woman conveniently under suspicion.

Bancroft is a very good nutter.

BitOfFun · 13/12/2017 23:04

Why did Joe get the hump about his new girlfriend not being keen on shagging him in his mother's house? For someone supposed to be "one of the good ones", he's remarkably brattish and immature. Especially as he must have put his headphones straight on to play Mortal Kombat or something in a big old sulk.

Fishfingersandwichnocheese · 13/12/2017 23:14

He’s nearly as weird as his mother.

Weird dependant overly close relationship - still lives with his mother and picks her up from work.

“Really likes” girl he’s dating even though they’ve only met a few times.

Screams weird. I wouldn’t date him.

Yoksha · 14/12/2017 07:05

Hi all. Budge up please.

My Dh & I are in total disagreement about this. I'm in the "lazy tome" corner, he's in the massive twist corner. Very animated discussion. We're normally on the same hymn sheet. That includes Nordic-noir subtitled thrillers. So disconcerting to say the least.

Is her son's father the character Linus Roach? Other than my comments, I'm scratching my head at what seems on the surface a shallow predictable 4 part drama. I'd just love it to end with a massive " well, I didn't see that coming ".

Yoksha · 14/12/2017 07:06
  • character Liinus Roach plays. Sorry.
eloisesparkle · 14/12/2017 07:30

I thought Linus Roach's character might be the father of her son too.

BitOfFun · 14/12/2017 08:15

Well, after three episodes, I think it can be filed under Utter Tosh, but I shall still be tuning in tonight to see if Luna Lovegood can defeat the crazy scheming of Cruella DeVille.

CurlsandCurves · 14/12/2017 08:54

I’ll stick with it, last one tonight.

I think there might be more to it, Linus Roaches character said to Sarah Parish ‘it wasn’t just us’ or there were more of us or something along those lines when they were talking about the past....

redshoeblueshoe · 14/12/2017 10:33

I might take the lazy option, and only watch it after your verdict. Recently I am beginning to think most TV is written by kids on work experience- also no likeable characters in this, so why should I give a shit about them.

Battleax · 14/12/2017 10:36

I think you file it mentally as "bonkers romp" it's quite a good watch.

LineyRunner · 14/12/2017 11:30

I think Joe said his father was a police officer and there was a divorce / gossip? Back in ep 1.

BitOfFun · 14/12/2017 12:20

Ah, Brian!

eloisesparkle · 14/12/2017 12:34

Joe's father might have been a police officer - didn't the barrister chap work for the police back when his wife was murdered ?
