I still can’t believe it. Sadly I’m at work tonight but will catch up tomorrow. I don’t know if enjoy is the word. www.google.co.uk/amp/www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-10-16/george-michael-freedom-channel-4-extended-trailer/amp/

I've heard that about Ricky that he's lovely 'in real life'

There's a bit of sadness that some are only learning how lovely George was since his death.

Butterymuffin · 16/10/2017 22:58

So sad to watch though fantastic footage. He's such a big loss. A really lovely person with so much talent. It was the bit talking about his mother's death that was the worst for me.

Graphista · 16/10/2017 23:00

I remember at the time he was slated for not doing certain appearances myself and a few friends who were members of fan lib and knew people in the know tried to tell people but...

It was a dreadful time for the family.

slightlycross · 16/10/2017 23:02

Amazing talent and so honest about his issues, inspirational ...
It does feel like a goodbye I agree with a pp!! With the concert on now I'm at risk of staying up to watch the end 😂😂

One of the worst parts for me was the words to describe him at the beginning of the advert breaks.

Alvinstail · 16/10/2017 23:05

Oh my when he spoke about his mummy and they played that music and showed her picture. Heartbreaking.

MsJolly · 16/10/2017 23:07

Have sobbed and sobbed over George in a way that I have never done over a "celebrity". I always thought it was weird when people did-but every time I see something with George in, I cry.

He was always such a big part of my life-all the way from Young Guns and quite possible the only person I have been a real true fan of, such as not missing a single tour, having every album etc.

My heart has 💔 Tonight again

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:18

YY Graphista Sad

And i TOTALLY agree about Praying For Time. So apt for now.

Timeless.

Charley50 · 16/10/2017 23:18

So heartbreaking and so moving. He's one famous person that I wish we could rewind time for and he still be alive.. Such beautiful songwriting and such a deep heartfelt man.

Graphista · 16/10/2017 23:19

Playing my wedding song now. Not a great wedding song lol (now divorced).

Ironically (given husband went on to cheat) was supposed to be careless whisper

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:23

Graphista i love Heal the Pain. Beautiful song.

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:25

And Freedom 90 which has to be played LOUD. I have been known to play this one on a loop.

salsamad · 16/10/2017 23:26

I loved his music so much and he was so talented, it's hard to believe he is no longer here.
As an older teenager I brought Last Christmas and played it rather loudly over and over again - so much so that my Dad hammered on my bedroom door and shouted that if he heard it one more time he'd break the record.
I shed a tear as they played my favourite song A Different Corner for the final credits of the programme.
A truly wonderful singer/songwriter Sad.

Graphista · 16/10/2017 23:26

Freedom 90 is great for break ups and similar - yes MUST be played loud as should Faith

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:27

Im running an hour behind on channel 4 +1

SexandDrugsandaNiceCuppa · 16/10/2017 23:29

Another one here who's shed more than a few tears tonight 😥. DH and I were at this concert - it was one of the best I've ever seen. I just bawled my eyes out to I'm Your Man, which was odd - I think it reminds me of being young and carefree. What a talent.

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:34

Ive never actually been to a concert but i do wish id been to one of Georges.

Charley50 · 16/10/2017 23:38

I've never been massively into concerts either, but I so wish I had been to a George Michael one.

HelenaDove · 16/10/2017 23:39

Graphista i played it a lot after losing weight Instead of the burning leather jacket i used to imagine i was burning my old clothes.

Then later on i imagined i was burning my old diet books. Its the sort of song that is ambiguous and can be adapted to whatever you are going through at the time. There arent many songs like that and its a great tune.

Just seen the sketch with Ricky Gervais Brilliant.

StorminaBcup · 16/10/2017 23:40

I did a double take at the Sony credits too. I think the saddest thing I heard (and probably one of the saddest things I’ve heard anyone say), was that he had to wait 28 yrs for someone to love him Sad

I remember getting the Wham! Album for my birthday - it had a poster in the middle.

Longdistance · 17/10/2017 00:16

I've just finished watching this on E4.

A fitting tribute to an amazing man.

When Chris Martin sang at the end of the programme mixed with George singing a different corner I proper balled my eyes up at the end when George's picture appeared. I belted out a good karaoke with them.

😭 ❤️

Floellabumbags · 17/10/2017 00:51

I was going to marry him in 1985. I had it all planned. I think he was absolutely beautiful inside and out. There are so many stories of his huge generosity, probably the most touching is that he sourced treatment for Martin Kemp when his brain tumour returned.

Snog · 17/10/2017 07:26

I found it so emotional to watch last night, I find it physically painful that he is dead.

PolaDeVeboise · 17/10/2017 10:15

The fact he was speaking on my telly last night means he's still alive, right? Sad

I wept for most of it, and am still in complete denial.

I'm struggling with the Liam Gallagher connection though....
